Beginning of the journey in Kathmandu where Sophie meets Benoit Perraud and they visit the historical center and the Swayambhunath Monkey Temple. Later Sophie meets Benoit's wife Pasang Yangji Tamang who is also guide. They travel first by car then a four hours walk to Thulo Syabru, the village of the family of Pasang, there meeting meeting withthe grandfather and grandmother of Pasang and also with the brother of Pasang (former monk, now guide). Then Sophie travel to Bhâratpur: Chitwan National Park. She meets Floriane, a French veterinarian who is taking care for the working elephants and the go with Ravi, a park range to see several animal, chital (Axis axis-an Indian deer), crocodiles and rhinoceros.
I enjoyed also the travell to Panauti: encounter with Shila Amatya of the Association of the Community homestay: receiving tourists in their houses these women have now economical incomes and become more indenpendent. Finally Sophie returns to Kathmandu and is invited to the brother-sister feast, a typical Nepalese family meeting with offerings and exchange of gifts.
Besides the documentary shows the sports tourism ijn Nepal: paragliding, rafting, bike tours and of cours alpinism: a meeting with Billi Bierling of the Himalayan Database and with Lapka Sherpa, a sherpa who has been 7 times on the top of the Everest and a visit to the International Mountain Museum in Pokhara.
Also a moment about Nepalese food: Sophie has eaten Dal Bhat (rice and lentils), in Kathmandu there are shops which sell momo (a stuffed dumpling preparation ) and of courser tea shops where people enjoy the tea prepared with milk and sugar). In Panauti Sophie sees also how a woman prepares achard (mixed vegetables macerated in oil with ginger ,chili and curcuma).
I appreciate also the presentation of the suspended walkways in the countryside supported by HELVETAS .
Nepal becomes also famous for the spiritual tourism; musical therapy or yoga.
I enjoyed this journey : the nice landscapes (mountains and jungle) and the ¿nice encounters with king Nepalese men and women.
