- Vince is having problems with the director of "Smokejumpers." Eric finds out Seth Green could be the star of Charlie's pilot.
- Charlie (E's comedian script writer client) gets his pilot script picked up, but when the studio (represented by Amy Miller) wants to cast Seth Green - Eric's nemesis - Eric must cast aside his personal feelings. Seth asks E to come to the city for a meeting with him. Despite a huge challenge (as E was in the wilderness for Vince's shoot and drove 2.5 hrs for the meeting), E makes it to the meeting, only to find that Seth stood him up. Seth then calls & tells E to tell Sloan (Emmanuelle Chriqui) to call Seth and ask him to do the pilot for Charlie's show.
E is desperate & actually shows up at Sloan's. He finds that Sloan is broken up with her boyfriend. E asks Sloan to call Seth, but realizes that he still has feelings for her. So E backs off saying that he was desperate and that he doesn't want Sloan to call Seth. E has given up when he finds from the agent that Seth wants to sit with Charlie & E that same day at 4 PM. At the meeting, Seth implies that Sloan called Seth & even came over. Then Seth threatens Charlie that he will not do the show with E on board. Charlie decides to stick with E. Then Seth threatens to do the show with Charlie's rival, at which point Charlie punches Seth.
Vince is upset that Verner, the director of Smokejumpers, continues to drag his character down by cutting his key lines & shooting all of Vince's scenes with him & without him. Vince tells Verner that he knows that Verner took his lines away and gave them to Patric, and let Vince believe that the lines were stolen by Patric. Verner admits that this was a misunderstanding but stands by his decision that the lead of the movie needs to have the best lines (Vince agreed to be the 2nd lead). Vince believes Verner is the issue (he is not even watching Vince's scenes and is just eager to shoot the versions where Vince doesn't have his lines), but Verner thinks Vince is the one with the problem (Verner says that Vince does not trust him and Vince is more worried about what is good for Vince the actor, rather than the film). Verner takes Vince to the dailies & makes him see his "head-tilts" and his "lip-quivers", which he thinks are Vince's bad habits.
Babs has made her position on Andrew clear to Ari. Ari decides to be nice (Ari's daughter Sarah (Cassidy Lehrman) explains to Ari that a woman needs convincing and not be "told") & asks Babs to give Andrew a chance to impress her. Babs agrees to have dinner with Andrew & Ari. Ari and Lloyd give Ari's old friend and mentor Andrew Klein a Hollywood makeover so he can impress agency co-owner Babs (Beverly D'Angelo), but when she is disrespectful, Ari has had enough.
Andrew has a panic attack, when he realizes that the meeting with Babs was an interview. Babs now believes that Andrew cant step up to the plates & says no to Ari. Andrew is scared as his wife has sold the house in the valley and all his clients now think they are represented by Miller-Gold agency. Ari is so angry that he walks on stage of Barbara's award function & accuses her of riding Ari's success, now to only stand in his way. Babs agrees to Ari's demands.
