- After "Medellin" bombs at Cannes, Vince hides out in Mexico. Drama's star status rubs some people the wrong way at a photo shoot.
- With Medellin being slammed by critics Richard Roeper and Michael Phillips (who calls Pablo Escobar as Vincent Chase in a fat suit and bad make-up) and having been reduced to a direct-to-DVD release, Vince (Adrian Grenier) hides out in a Mexican paradise with Turtle (Jerry Ferrara). Already the critics are saying that Vince will fade out in 2008.
Meanwhile, producer Carl Ertz (Kim Coates) is willing to give Vince his first movie "Danger Beach" in six months. Ari thought Carl had signed Emile Hirsch for the lead, but Carl says he doesn't have Emile. Carl says he will pay Vince's full rate. Ari calls E (Kevin Connolly), and says that Vince has an offer pending a meeting with Carl. The only catch is that Vince has to be back in town for the meeting at lunch-time the next day. E calls Vince, but Vince refuses to come back for a movie called "Danger Beach". Meanwhile, E has a full-time assistant now and has expanded his roster of clients.
Ari offers to go to Vince to convince him and arranges a private jet. Ari says that if Vince doesn't return now, he will be ignored by the town. Vince is retiring in his prime.
Drama turns Prima Donna during a Five Towns photo shoot, when he refuses the staff photographer to shoot his "right side" (Drama says that he doesn't shoot well from his right side. Its his bad side), and kindles his "virtual" romance with Jacqueline (Kelley Hazen), his Cannes girlfriend. The photographer threatens to call the producers to get Drama in line for the shoot. The producer walks down to Drama's trailer, but by then E had called with Vince's emergency. Drama gets perspective, tells the producer to shoot him any way he wants and hops on the plane with E.
Eric, Ari (Jeremy Piven) and Drama (Kevin Dillon) head out to Mexico to convince him to take the role. The role is not very challenging, but Carl is renowned for producing movies on a low budget that make big money. Ari says that another offer may not come for Vince. Vince is still not convinced as he has a good life for $79 a day. E talks to Vince & convinces him that he should not go out at the bottom. E says he is the one who found Medellin and he cant let Vince retire with the guilt that E ruined his best friend's career. Vince finally agrees.
As Vince sits down with Ertz, a phone call by Ari's old rival changes things drastically. Adam Davies (Jordan Belfi) is representing Emile Hirsch (he sees Vince meeting Carl in the restaurant and gets suspicious) and tells Ari that Carl only met Vince because he wanted Emile to reduce his price. There was never any real offer on the table. E again blames himself. Vince tells E that they did Medellin together and it wasn't E's fault. Though he blames E for the Pablo Escobar make-up. Vince decides to stick it out in LA and find his next role.
Drama & Turtle damage Carl's car at his house as revenge for messing with Vince.
