Encouraged by Zero to study at the Space Garrison training school first, Z recounts a lecture about an "invisible monster" that came out from the "Monster Ecology" class, but his memory on the subject is a bit lacking.
Z doubts on the words of Zero that there are good and evil monsters. It is said that some monsters fight alongside their fellow Ultra Warriors and Zero starts teaching him about his self-proclaimed disciple.
Zero explains to Z about ancient history of Ultraman including Stone of Baraji and Ultraman Noa. Zero also says that he has met Noa in person, much to Z's excitement.
After fighting Kaiju affected by Devil Splinters, Zero returns and tells Z about a new device developed by Ultraman Hikari. Zero tells Z that he will be chosen for testing the device and giving its name.
Zett, who runs into the doubt that he doesn't see his seniors that used to train in the Land of Light, is informed by Zero that some Ultras aren't originally from the Land of Light.
Z meets Jean-Nine, Zero's comrade. Z heard from Zero he is titled Warrior of Steel and serves Princess Emerana but Jean-Nine tells the young Ultraman that it's actually his brother, Jean-Bot, much to his annoyance.
After fighting with Alien Barossa, Zero returns and tells Z about Barossa's annoyance that make him has a headache due to the Alien's habit of looting and robbing weapons.
After talking with Ultraseven, Zero tells Z about the time when Seven was Ultraman Leo's master. Zero also recalls his special training with Leo while wearing a Tector Gear.
Z asks Zero about Jean-Nine's origin. Zero says that Jean-Nine was once an enemy robot before Zero convinced him to turn good. Zero also warns Z not to provoke Jean-Nine again and teaches him about respect.
Zero and Z discuss the Ultra Medals that they would like to use. Zero comes up with the combination for Gransaberd Zero while Z thinks of Sigma Breastar.
Z asks Zero about his ultimate form. Zero cannot choose which form is the strongest. He then gives the examples and their potential, which includes Ultimate Zero, Shining Ultraman Zero, and Zero Beyond.
After Z had done 50,000 squats, Zero tells the young Ultraman to do another 30,000 sit-ups and reminds him about Ultraman Titas of Taiga's Tri-Squad, the Wise Man of Power who does intense training and exercise, much to Z's exhaustion.
Before Z attends an examination, the younger Ultraman learns the differences between Kemur and Alien Zetton from Zero as both of their appearance are nearly the same.
Zero introduces Ultraman Ribut, a member of Galaxy Rescue Force, to Z after the young Ultraman worried about a test to become one of Inter Galactic Defense Force.
During his training to become a full-fledged Ultra warrior, Z is visited by his senior Ultraman Mebius. Z tells Mebius about how he ended up become Zero's disciple before Zero himself interrupts their conversation.
After being told by Mebius about an alternate way to pass the Inter Galactic Defense Force recruitment test, Z prepares to challenge someone for his final test.
