The title of the Silent Spot is "Taxidermist's Mother-in-Law." In Red's opening monologue, seagulls Gertrude and Heathcliffe stop by for a gag and Red concludes the monologue with a pantomime, featuring a husband, wife, and their son and their excessive use of bathroom towels. In the main sketch, Clem Kadiddlehopper has been hired by the U.S. Census Bureau and visits cheating husband Paul and his shrewish wife Mona.
