This was one of the most successful Israeli films during 2020 - a year that was also known with its Corona Outbreak. People talked about it so much that finally, almost three years after, I broke under my wife's (small) pressure and turned the TV on, to see what is the big deal here.
I love the "Ma Kashur" threesome - especially their representatives at "Buba Shel Layla". But as far it goes with their stand-up comedy or some of the contents that are with the same characters during too much time... well... this is the result.
They were hilarious at the Israeli version of "little Britain" ("HaYisraelim") and their like ("We Are on the Map"), but as it goes beyond the two till five minutes segment...they tend to get lost.
A distressful, embarrassing and shameful movie, with a humor that is low and not even a little bit funny. I was embarrassed and Bored so much that I missed the last five minutes sleeping.
Local Cinema explorers should investigate how this movie became so popular in Israel, but the fact still remains the same - it sucks big time and not even close to half-a-centuries classics.
No one from the characters seems authentic, doesn't know to imitate yamen accent and looks stupid and grotesque (but not in the good way) most of the time. A big pass and snore, in order to ignore.
