Coffin Joe dates

Warning: Spoilers
On Raymond Castile's website, he posted some photos dressed up like Coffin Joe. They looked incredible.

In April of 2006, he learned that the real Coffin Joe - Jose Mojica Marins - had visited this page and loved it. Even better, in October of that year, Mojica and Dennison Ramalho, assistant director of the upcoming Encarnacao do Demonio asked Castile to be in the movie, playing the younger Ze do Caixao in a scene that would connect the final film in the trilogy with This Night I'll Possess Your Corpse.

Check out Diary do Demonio, his diary about traveling to Sao Paulo, Brazil to play Coffin Joe.

After this, he made The Blind Date of Coffin Joe in which Coffin Joe moves to America and starts his own reality dating show. If you've never seen a Coffin Joe movie, you probably won't get the jokes. If you have, it's absolutely hilarious with Castile looking, sounding and acting exactly like Ze do Caixao as he faces modern dating, all in the hopes of finding a superior woman to give birth to his child.

"You know, Zedo...you could try smiling once in awhile..."

A TV reality show involving blind-dating singles introduces two new romantic hopefuls. The bachelorette is a peppy, perky, very modern sort of girl, and her blind-date bachelor is...heheh...Ze Do Caixao(that fun loathing, philosophical boogeyman immortalized in films by the iconic "Coffin Joe", still searching for that special superwoman who will have the mighty fortitude to bear his Godforsaken offspring). The interaction between these two during their date is priceless and will make any Coffin Joe fan fall over with uncontrollable, pants-wetting laughter(those unfamiliar with Ze Do Caixao will just draw a blank, but that's OK, because they don't matter much anyhow). This unlikely love connection goes expectedly off-course, and culminates in a gore-soaked finale...with little chance of a second date on the horizon.

I found this side-splitting short film by mere chance on Youtube, and my hat goes off to Raymond Castile. This fellow has done a remarkable job as director and actor. It must be stated that he looks a LOT like Coffin Joe, and he has the Ze character nailed. Castile's leading lady is also quite good as the "normal" American girl with a Kate Spade handbag-toting, mallrattish charisma which becomes so irritating that you'll be rooting for Ze to rip her eyes out with his slender, knifelike claws.

This one's a winner in my book...7/10
