All aboard for toys that start with the Letter A. Petey and Pablo bounce on an inflatable alligator toy, Poppy and Penny play with a high-flying toy airplane, and the pugs meet an assembly of new acquaintances atop an ant hill. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: To learn about the letter 'A' through the words: ALLIGATOR, AIRPLANE and ANT.
The joys of camping. A pesky mosquito flies zig-zag into Penny and Petey's tent before they can close the zipper, then zips out to torment Poppy and Pablo as they pick zucchinis in the vegetable garden. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: To learn about the letter 'Z' through the words: ZIPPER, ZIGZAG and ZUCCHINI.
Petey and Poppy plant a garden outdoors, Penny admires flowers blooming near the pond, and Pablo hears quacking and runs over to meet the ducklings. Whoops. Penny is all wet. But wait, it starts to rain, which helps the garden grow and the flowers bloom. Now everyone is wet. Hooray for Spring. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: To introduce children to basic facts about spring: warmer weather, seasonal cadence, rains more, flowers bloom, plants grow in the garden and baby animals are born.
It's summer, and Poppy and Pablo play in their little pool. Petey jumps in - Splash. Penny peeks out from her beach umbrella, all wet. The pugs frolic some more, but what's that? A fin swimming towards them? Shark. No silly, it's only Penny, with a play fin attached to her back. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: To introduce children with basic facts about the summer season: hot and sunny weather, seasonal cadence, the importance of staying cool in the heat.
Ah, the colours of Fall. The pugs pick red apples from a tree in the backyard: climbing on one another to assemble a pug ladder. Penny has an idea and shakes the tree. Apples fall and one bonks Pablo on the head. Whoopsie. Petey takes the apples indoors, while the pugs rake the leaves into a pile. Petey comes outside with an apple pie. Pablo jumps out of the leaf pile and Petey winds up with the pie on his face. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: To introduce children to basic words and facts about the fall season: cooler weather, seasonal cadence, apple picking, leaves change colour and fall off the trees.
The Cutie Pugs build a snow person in the backyard. Petey rolls the first and biggest ball, followed by Poppy and then Penny. They boost Pablo up to decorate the snowman with buttons, a hat and scarf ("need to bundle up in winter") but oh dear. Petey has eaten the snowman's carrot nose. Pablo has an idea and uses a dog bone as a replacement. EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES: To introduce children to basic words and facts about the winter season: cold weather (need to bundle up and stay warm), seasonal cadence, and environmental changes (snow and ice).
