A good end to series one.

It's Halloween night, and after digging away, the killer's identity is exposed.

Halloween night, costumes etc, once again they go for every cliche under the sun, but once again it does actually work.

The identity of the killer didn't come as a huge surprise, and the motive wasn't as dramatic as I'd hoped for, however what was done, was done very well. The character(s) mentioned did seem to change only in the last episode or two.

Very atmospheric, dramatic, and quite a tense watch. It feels as though there's plenty of material here for a second series, the conclusion leaves us with enough material for more.

8/10.

Disappointing ending
lolagabriella7 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
I've never been so annoyed by an ending before that I've written a review - not even with Game of Thrones. But this ending infuriated me.

Firstly, it became obvious partway through the series that Simon was involved in his own death. The suggestion that it was Jake was instantly a confirmation to me.

Secondly, and most importantly - they didn't need to cover up Jake's death! It was an accident and they had multiple witnesses (albeit themselves) to confirm it. Nate wasn't seen by anyone so he could be left out of it if needed, but the others could explain the whole thing. Their stories would have matched each other, and the gun was Jake's! People saw them arguing at the party and the evidence was on the xbox which they were trying to take. They should have called 911 immediately which would also show it was an accident.

But of course this is a teen drama, so instead these teens that previously had no experience of murder or covering one up, have covered up the death. So after all that growth, they're now all criminals.

I'm watching season 2, but I'm kind of hoping they get caught now!

WE NEED SEASON 2
funnycommentor9 November 2021
The killer's reveal was totally unexpected, however the killer's motive was average. Anyway, the ending episode was so intense and suspenseful. Everyone got what they deserve. The ending scene was so good, which leads in season 2. In my opinion, a second season is totally needed, because we have to know what happened that night and who is the one who started texting then AGAIN. Overall, it was an underrated, unexpectedly good show with some interesting and well-developed characters, nice plot twists and many "Pretty Little Liars", "Gossip Girl" and "I Know What You Did Last Summer" vibes. Can't wait for season 2!

Dumb as hell
ewill-7014418 June 2023
Got decent until the last couple of episodes.

Everything in this episode, from beginning to end was dumb as hell.

Every decision, almost every bit of dialog.

Just 50 minutes of stupid.

Every bit of evidence should have been discovered by the police or found by the murder club without all the stupid back and forth.

After all the lies and bs this group of idiots still can't work together, keep their eye on the ball and do what they need to do without chaos and drama.

Brownyn is still insufferable.

Nate is still a simp.

Coop is the softest jock.

Everyone, from the parents to the kids are absolutely insufferable.
