With his writing partner Jeannie Roshar, Gary Anthony Williams (known for providing the voice of Uncle Ruckus on The Boondocks, for his work on Weeds and Boston Legal, and much more) has sold an interracial romantic comedy feature pitch to Lionsgate, titled I Own You. Centered on the peaks and valleys of an interracial couple, I Own You is said to be based on a 2008 short film of the same name that the duo also wrote and starred, with Anthony Williams directing.  Whether Williams will also direct this feature film adaptation of the short, remains to be see. There's yet another film festival for cinema junkies to delight in, and this time it's all about much-needed laughs. Next month (March 5-8) will mark the inaugural L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival, and The Hollywood Reporter posts that it will include shorts from our favorite Internet Funny House, Funny or Die. See? The Internet is taking over!

The website will show some world premieres at the fest, plus "exclusive vintage shorts" that include Don Dolmes, The Smallest C*ck in Porn and Craigslist Penis Photographer. There are lots of shorts they could choose from. We've even shown you a bunch of them here at Cinematical. But I can't say that I'd be delighted to sit in a dark theater and watch these particular shorts (check them out after the jump). The inaugural L.A. Comedy Shorts Film Festival will take place March 5-8 at the at the newly renovated Downtown Independent Theatre, 251 S. Main Street, in Los Angeles.

The festival will run in conjunction with the L.A. Comedy Scripts Screenplay Competition, sponsored by the Write Brothers.

The fest's opening night will include a pre-reception, followed by a screening of shorts by the fest's celebrity participants, hosted by Aisha Tylor.

Web site Funny or Die will present world premieres and exclusive vintage shorts, including its first-ever Web movie, "Don Dolmes, The Smallest C*ck in Porn," a mockumentary that spoofs the legend of John Holmes, and "Craigslist Penis Photographer," starring Bob Odenkirk.
