This was a fun episode I hadn't seen since I was very young. It has some really nice, sweet stuff in it. Very heartwarming, in many respects.
An Aunt of Tommy's comes to visit, and apparently she was an Angelica to Tommy's Grandpa, when he was a kid. Aunt Miriam constantly used to get Grandpa in trouble, and hurt him, and steal from him. Grandpa's repeated comments and nitpicking with Miriam makes this episode so much funnier than it actually is (especially because the voice actor for Grandpa is always fantastic in his delivery-again proving that "Rugrats" has some of the best casting choices ever made).
The animation was smooth, and the art style is always nice, with "Rugrats".
The music-as always, with the show-was solid, and really struck a nostalgia key, for me. Good God, I love these older cartoons from when I was a child. You just can't beat the kind of love and passion put into these cartoons. "Rugrats" is a gem, even with relatively weaker episodes like this one.
If you haven't seen it before, and you're a fan of "Rugrats", check this episode out, sometime. You might dig it a lot, even if it's not the best. The sweetness added a lot to this episode, especially with some of the subtext for Tommy and Angelica's future, someday.
Really pleasant.
