Factual powerhouse Magnus Temple is looking forward to the Australian International Documentary Conference, kicking off in Melbourne this Sunday.

"I met up with those guys [Marc Smerling and Zac Stuart-Pontier] in Denmark at the Copenhagen TV Festival in the summer, so it's good to see them on the program. And I'm looking forward to seeing Sherpa, which is co-produced by my friend John Smithson".
Temple will be in town to conduct a.masterclass.- "the story of some of the keys things I've been involved in".
They include the BAFTA-nominated The Family, the BAFTA-winning One Born Every Minute, 24 Hours in A&E and Keeping Britain Alive: One Day in the NHS.

Magnus Temple is set to join Marc Smerling and Zac Stuart-Pontier as a headline speaker at the 2016 Australian Interational Documentary Conference.
Temple, pioneer of the fixed camera observational documentary genre, will deliver a keynote at the premier event for the Asia-Pacific nonfiction screen content sector, which takes place at Melbourne.s Acmi from February 28 to March 2.
Aidc chief executive, Britt Arthur, said she was thrilled to have Temple at Aidc 2016.
"His much-loved, long-running formats prove there is an abiding fascination with the stories of real people,. she said.
Co-founder and chief executive of The Garden, Temple was a documentary director and series producer before founding Firefly, later re-named Dragonfly, with Nick Curwin in 2004. .

The Garden was launched two years ago in the UK by BAFTA winners, Nick Curwin and Magnus Temple, after selling their company Dragonfly to Shine. At Dragonfly, they created One Born Every Minute and The Family for Channel 4. Currently, The Garden is in production on two shows for Channel 4 – 24 Hours In A&E and Seven Dwarves.
