A statue of IG-11 can be seen when Djarin, Dune, and Karga are walking into what used to be the old cantina.
The Protocol Droid teaching the children of Nevarro confirms that after the fall of the Empire, the Galactic capital was moved from Coruscant to Chandrila (home planet of Mon Mothma). This was first mentioned in several tie-in novels including Chuck Wendig's "Aftermath" trilogy and Daniel José Older's "Last Shot", which take place in the same time period as The Mandalorian. At this time, Han Solo, Leia Organa and their infant child Ben are living on Chandrila. However, this does not imply that the Republic Capital planet eventually destroyed in Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens (2015) is Chandrila, as the New Republic chose to change its capital on a rotational basis through elections; the planet destroyed is actually Hosnian Prime.
The two Imperials who are attempting to purge their data-banks wear the same Clone Army Project emblem patch on their right arm as Dr. Pershing. This symbol was first seen on clothing worn by the Clones training on Kamino in Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002).
When he read the script for this episode, Carl Weathers had one request - more baby Yoda. Having grown inordinately fond of the little creature in his previous episodes, he knew that including more of him would improve his directorial effort too.
The TIE fighters with the folding wings are known as Outland TIE fighters. They were designed to land on level surfaces which allowed for air superiority presence without a hangar. They were useful in maintaining an Imperial force on remote outposts.
