The Young Artist Academy is the only youth awards structured the same as major Hollywood award guilds, complete with Academy Membership, peer voting, and publicity perks & education. As members of the Academy, young performers are taught the process of judging by merit, awards show development and the Entertainment Industry's awards show production processes. By adopting the Industry's model in 2018, young members gain valuable industry experience and develop an advantage of being fully proficient to participate in adult counterpart awards show organizations upon eligibility.
Though not required, the Young Artist Academy is the only youth awards show in Hollywood that proactively carries a Krekorian Talent Bond, in compliance with the California Advance Fee Talent Service Law.
In compliance with California Legislature Sections 1286 to 1289 and Assembly Bill 1660, the Academy's annual awards show is produced by Stage Managers, Directors, Writers and Producers carrying Child Performer Services Permits.
