Na Triobloidi (#2.13)

Warning: Spoilers
The season finale was definitely not a disappointment. Loved it like most of this season that had a great story and some very talented actors in temporary roles.

AJ's death was much less dramatic than I expected they would do. But with Ethan it was really full of excitement and tension. I could not believe that at the end he ended up staying alive! I was sure they will get to him. Adam Arkin was perfect in this role, I will miss him and the rest of his white nationalists on this show. Who knows, maybe he will be back looking for his daughter.

And so with rounding up the story we are fast transferred into the one of the next season. And it looks like it will be not any less exciting than this one. The kidnapping story is a great idea. And I loved the new Gemma story. Her and Stahl's scene were great, hope there will be more.

I am just sad Kip is dead. He wasn't a big character but definitely somebody I will miss!

Warning: Spoilers
So much happened! So Weston and Zobelle gets released but Zobelle gets escorted by the Mayans. Jax goes with Chibs and Ope after Weston. Jax kills him. Polly goes to Eddie Gemma sees her and follows her. Stahl kills Eddie after he hit her. Polly goes inside sees eddie and thinks Gemma did it, Gemma kills Polly and then Stahl shows up, she puts the 2 murders on gemma by throwing her gun in Gemma's hands. Cameron hears on the radio that Gemma killed Eddie which isn't true and follows Half sack. He then Kills half sack and kindnapped Abel. Samcro has to let Zobelle go to go after Cameron but he escapes with a boat. What a finale, what a season! Unfortunately Half sack is dead, I really liked him and was hyped for him to get patched in. Guess we're going to Ireland next season!

Best performance: Charlie Hunnam

WTF, AKA steal a boat!
bryant_fauss17 July 2010
Warning: Spoilers
Overall this episode was off the charts awesome, just like the rest of the series. Just one issue.....

STEAL A BOAT!

These are a bunch of guys who have no problem killing people who F with business, or are in a position to make trouble for members, yet the VP's son is being taken off into the sunset by some Irish a-hole, and instead of stealing a boat, they just form a jerk off circle and use Jax tears as lube. A bunch of the guys have a military background, and are expert mechanics, you're telling me not one can hot-wire a boat?

Anyway, great show! Can't wait for sept for season 3. Will SAMCRO make a trip to Budapest to take care of some business? It would be awesome if they did!

Cliffhanger Ending, but really good one
jace-rynearson8 November 2022
There has been so much I've been waiting for with the second season of SOA, so many characters I rooted for, so many I rooted against, and an ever expanding plot point that never lets up. I'm not gonna say this episode could've ended the series, because there was still more to do, but it did a great job amping the audience up for what's to come. The villains of this season are finally punished and punished severely, lots of satisfying revenge kills that took 12 episodes to properly set up, and topping it off with the unexpected and hugely saddening death of a main character before giving an unexpected cliffhanger to properly set up season 3. Can't wait for what's to follow.

Good season ending with flaws
kaczkahans3 April 2022
Warning: Spoilers
That was definitely a good finale but it's not perfect if you look a little closer. Weston pays for his crimes against Gemma and accepts that fate. I like that he doesn't beg for his life but accepts his fate. What I don't understand is: Why wasn't he escorted by his homies? Did they suddenly let him down? I mean, he doesn't like cops, so why should he only rely on their escort? I'm not saying he would have gotten away like his former boss but it would have been more difficult to kill him.

It's sad to see that Sobelle got away with his crimes but at least he will have to suffer because of Polly's death. Clay's decision not to kill Alvarez is really odd. He made a deal with the Chinese and the Niners to push the Mayans back, so killing their leader shouldn't be a problem if he has 2 partner clans at his side.

I also don't understand how Polly got away from the house. It was under siege from Samcro. How in the world would she slip away? We only see the Sons from one side of the building but you can't tell me they wouldn't think of sieging every part of it. Polly would have been a perfect lever to lure Sobelle out. That plothole is still acceptable because she doesn't escape with her dad in the end. Stahl putting the blame of Eddie's murder on Gemma was pretty smart. In the first moment you can think, how dumb must Gemma be to grab it but I mean, it's a reflex. Almost everyone of us would do this without thinking.

Although the writing might not be perfect, the payoff is very good, so I'll still give the episode a 9/10.

S2 Review

Warning: Spoilers
Review By Kamal K

Season 2 of Sons of Anarchy was emotionally heavy. The turmoil within the gun-running gang, split in twain and the members turning on one another. Tig's self-destruction may be the best part of Season 2. His tripping acid scene, when he ate the 'shrooms with Half-Sack in "Balm," seemed harmless and then out of nowhere he breaks into tears and apologizes to a doll -- Donna. The next thing you know, he's confessing to Opie his transgressions. Opie, again, was the best SAMCRO character of the season, conflicted in action and not knowing who to blame for his wife's death. He becomes estranged with his children and finds happiness in a relationship with a porn star. His conflict to find a comfortable place within the club and within his family is easily the best part of the show.

The relationship between Gemma and Tara was fun to watch, to see Gemma mentor Tara and their relationship bond after Gemma's rape at the hands of the white supremacists. Tara beating the hell out of the bureaucrat, even though the bureaucrat was a terrible stump of a character, was a cool aside. Another feather in the cap of the show was the unraveling of SAMCRO's connections to the guns and Chibs' relationship with Jimmy O. Interesting stuff, maybe more interesting as we get into season three.

Jax returned as Jax, the princely cool dude. He still came off as entitled and it's still hard to identify with him, especially after cara cara burned and he wanted to leave SAMCRO. The whole porn operation was actually a good idea. What worked well this season for Jax was his relationship with Clay, who's becoming more stubborn.

At the start of Season 2, I wasn't so sure Weston was going to provide anything for the show but it became apparent around the middle of the season that AJ was an interesting character in his own right. You get the picture immediately. He's a very unpleasant person, but so firm in his convictions in everything he does that you can see why he's a leader for other racists. He even shocks us a few times with how much of a believer he is when he straight up murders two apparent immigrant workers. He's also a surprisingly caring father, though he ingrains his hatred within his children. In the end, he ends up betrayed by the very hand that fed him, but it inspires no change within him. He dies exactly who he is. Although I'm usually not in favor of murdering a good character, this was a good murder and his life within the show was poetic.

His murder was Jax's first step towards metamorphosis, which is excellent and I want to see that happen now.

I know it's blasphemy...

Warning: Spoilers
Yes I know... bad talking about SOA will get me to Tv hell but... really??

They are in lockdown and the 2 most important women of SOA are running around town buying fruit?

And their escort consist of just one soldier?

And Tara returns to her house instead of the warehouse?

And she decides not to tell Jax that her mother is following Zoebelle daughter?

And the cool headed Agent kills her star witness because he punched her and run?

And the one that made me write this review... there is not ONE town in USA where one person kidnaps your kid with a boat, and police won't be over him in 30 minutes. Where is he going to run to??? He is in a boat!!!

Not one person in the pier that can lend their boat to chase him??

Writers make the characters of this show take impossible decisions in order to go where they want to go with the plot. Seriously thinking about watching season 3 (if this is a 9.3 for fans, don't want to se an 8).

How is this a 9.3
mckilloa21 December 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Don't get me wrong this was a really good episode until about the last 10 minutes was when if the stupidest things I've seen in my life after jaxs son was kidnapped how did they immediately find out were Cameron was and when he got away on the boat with jaxs son why did they just steal a boat like he did! Instead of just watching drive away or borrow someone else's boat very poor writing also why the hell is Gemma and Tara buying fruit when the club is supposed to be in lockdown and even if even after they buy fruit why does Tara return to her house when she has been told by the club that her life is in danger very poor writing characters making illogical decisions for the sake of the plot.

Would have been good if not for major flaws
ameliek8129 July 2020
Warning: Spoilers
I watched the show when it first aired, I'm re-watching it now and it's not as great as I remember, there are A LOT of flaws, mistakes and bad writing. This episode was especially bad. Here's the thing, the SAMCRO family are in lock down at the shop. Gemma and Tara leave with escort to run some "errands". First, why does Tara go to the hospital to do paper work? Where's Gemma while she's doing that? They're in lock down with their lives at risk and Tara, who is suspended from the hospital, decides to go in for paperwork?

Second, why does Tara go back to Jax's place after leaving Gemma with Polly if they're in lock down at the shop? How does AJ know she's there?

Third, the biggest flaw, Tara and Gemma didn't leave the shop with Abel. He isn't with Tara at the hospital. we don't see him while they're running errands, etc. He's nowhere and he suddenly appears out of the blue at the house with Tara where he gets kidnapped.

This was so poorly thought out and written. But it still got stars for being partially entertaining.
