- The film opens with two friends, Boitumelo and Ditsa, meeting up at a restaurant after Boitumelo has gone for an HIV test. While celebrating Boitumelo's HIV negative status, she shares how easy it was to get tested and tells Ditsa about HIV self-testing, which gives people the freedom to choose when and where they test. This is how she is going to help get her partner tested. Later that evening, Boitumelo takes an HIV self-test home to her boyfriend Phenyo. Overcoming his trepidation about knowing his HIV status, Phenyo uses the self-test kit, with support from Boitumelo. The next day Phenyo's younger brother visits him at home. After discussing a family member who living healthily with HIV, Phenyo shares his HIV status with his younger brother and encourages him to test with his partner Mpho.
