I enjoy Stephen Fry but was disappointed with the content of this series. By episode two I became bored with his dig at the 'weirdo' Americans. It seemed he went out of his way to not see anything fabulous about the United States. Instead he would look for dark, socially unconventional people or situations. Yes, you could argue he was celebrating America as a place where people can express themselves freely, but in stereo-typical UK humor - we know better. Watching as he breezed from state to state I was left wanting to see the limitless joy that those states offered. But no - a big fail. If you want to get a real taste of the US don't bother watching this documentary series. If you enjoy laughing at Americans (which I don't) then perhaps this one's for you.
