AVPL i heard was a film that itself was very average but was elevated solely by Allu Arjun 's swaggy performance and terrific songs including my and everyone's favourite Butta Bola.

So when you decide to remake an average film , you need someone to elevate it to be a good entertaining watch. Sadly , Kartik is not any Allu Arjun. Kartik is charming no doubt but Allu Arjun possess charm and swag (something that in the early last decade Salman bhai possessed), and this swag Kartik doesn't posses to carry mass entertainer .

You can easily see he does the bulk of the heavy lifting in this film. He's smiling almost the whole film and trying to deliver dialogues in his Kartik aaryan style but the thing is, the dialogues are so ordinary (written by the same man who wrote the cringy dialogues of Brahmastra) that none of them impress or leave any impact on you, except maybe a few.

Because of such poor dialogues, comedy mostly is a miss. Because of such poor comedy , actors like Paresh Rawal or Rajpal Yadav (in a cameo shorter than the bidi Kartik smokes) who once used to make us go ROFL with their presence can't do anything in this film.

Actors like Ronit Roy are wasted yet again. Manisha Koirala is okayish but gets very little screen space. Kriti Sanon, ummmm, was she even there in the film? Idk man i forgot lol her role is so forgettable and turns out to be that typical souvenir kind of role .

Action and it's style is very much a miss. I have seen glimpses of AVPL mass action scenes and the swag with which Allu executed them won the hearts of fans. Kartik can't do action at all. Why do makers want to show him in this avatar is going over my head. His mass scenes are totally off. The climax action sequence in the metro hanger is so forgettable (i don't even know what the climax in AVPL was, must be better than this atleast).

Songs. Felt like an umbrella pierced into my heart (get it?). Forget Butta boma, that's out of reach, not even one song of Shehzada is one percent close to any song from AVPL. And all these ordinary tracks are coming from the magical composer Pritam. Hard to swallow truth. Remember last year how AR Rahman composed songs for a film like Heropanti 2 and all were flop. Even the character dheela rehash version is such a pain to the ears. They aren't paying tribute to Salman, they are paying tribute to remakes with this remake song from own Bollywood industry.

Some good parts are there though , especially in the emotional scenes in the 2nd half and this where Kartik genuinely shines. Women objectification , which is a norm in Telugu films and present even in AVPL has been removed here and that's very good.

Overall, this is the 3rd film i have seen from Rohit Dhawan and he again makes an average film. Even to some extent Dishoom was better . I know i shouldn't say this but often when you see Kartik trying to give dialogues in a swaggy way, i feel he's trying to imitate Varun Dhawan and i felt VD could have been a slightly better choice cuz he posses that swag that Kartik is not having.

Its a typical bollywood story. Two babies got exchanged at birth. Poor one got smart & Rich one is dumb. Chikna hero does extra ordinary fights. Goons expecting 500cr ransom but don't have a single gun to fire or defend.

Kartik aryan looks good in some scenes. Actress role is very limited. Few things won't make sense like jindal family got a huge bungalow but no driveway, (car going & coming through lawn) further the rich family has a week security or no security at all. Ronit roy looks good, manisha koirala is average & not appealing. I would rate the movie 4/10 & its a pure masala film you can go if big fan of Kartik aryan.

Shehzada might as well be called Kartik instead. It's a Kartik Aryan show through and through. The film is made for him, by him and for his fans. Rohit Dhawan borrows from his father by remaking a hit film from South India and marrying it with North India sensibilities.

Kartik who's also the producer of Shehzada, makes the protagonist Bantu, his own by playing himself on screen. His dry humour, slapstick comic timing and mischief defines a considerable body of work done by him in his past films. This is no different.

Kriti Sanon looks effortlessly gorgeous in every single frame she's in, with little more to do than being an eye candy.

Paresh Rawal plays the antagonist with dishonest intentions and a tough father with natural flair and command. He's a seasoned actor for a reason.

Manisha Koirala and Ronit Roy render some gravitas and dignity to their roles as the unfortunate parents. Sachin Khedekar is an endearing presence on screen as the grandfather.

The scene stealer has to be Rajpal Yadav as a confused cop who draws the maximum laughter and applause in the theatre with his signature comic timing.

Nothing much to say about the writing which is pretty average and nothing you haven't seen before apart from some funny dialogues and quirky moments here and there.

Rohit Dhawan is still a rookie filmmaker when compared to his father who made the comedy genre his own. Will take a while to reach a certain level of credibility.

Watch this strictly for Kartik Aryan and his antics if you're into it.

From bad acting to worse direction and even worse sense of humour, this movie challenges the odds in becoming worse than amateur youtube videos with zero profuction budget.. i was literally counting the minutes as when this horrible movie will end.. if it wasnt for the respect of my family ( who also waste thier time watchibg this nightmare) i would have left long time ago.. Bad acting, worse dialogue and even worse direction as i said earlier.. If u want to save ur valuable time dont even think of watching this movie , I was really disappointed and hopefully i will never watch any movie directed by this director who doesn't know the ABCs of direction , the director is the son of a director and as in bollywood connections win over talent..

Bottom line dont watch this movie its a genuine advice.

First of the film is exact copy of ally Arjun film I mean y u doing this r u out of any original ideas second the original movies watched by all people across the india in all languages it was available free in YouTube secondly I don't see an power pump dialogs in movie seems an whole lot of energy is missing kiriti does an ok job same to kartik he try to bring as much as he can but in the end it's a remake so can expect much paresh raval did an good job I like his performance but overall there is nothing new nothing interesting to keep audience hook also if this movie dosnt do good just stop this remake tend it's like this movie was here 4 years now let's make a remake.

I downloaded IMDB just to rate this move it's such a terrible remake of the original. Completely avoidable. Kartik Aryan fails to come anywhere closer to the class of Allu Arjun. Allu lit up the screen with his presence.such a fab masal script but totally wasted remake.

The film wasted class of Paresh and Ronit Roy with pretty much nothing to add to the script. Music is too loud and background scores are too loud.

Except for the song 'ladki crore Ki' the music slows down the film even more. Some of the characters were wasted to really meaningless roles and made to look really stupid and dumb.

Karthik Aryan is a lot of things But he's no Allu Arjun, he's no match to the style, swag and sass of allu, Kriti sanon is annoying and unbearable, her worst performance till date, the only reason I watched this despite having watched "Ala vaikuntapuramuloo" is because I liked them in Luka chuppi, I was thoroughly disappointed Songs are extremely bad and forgettable.

David Dhawan should definitely stop with remakes and try something different for once, If you thought coolie number 1 was his worst work till date, shehzaada has done the impossible it clearly beats cn1 to be david's worst work.

It's terrible remake. The telegu version of this movie had more production value so not sure why the hell will people want to watch a cheap copy. There has to be something wrong with IMDB to show stupid people giving 10 ratings. Kartik Aryan is an avg actor and its a below average movie. Don't waste ur time. Jokes are pure cringe, karthik looks like a joker while doing action. You will laugh during action and cry during jokes. Bollywood never learns even after a thunderous hit. The south version had iconic songs and dance where as you won't feel like listening to the songs of this movies and the choreography is just pathetic to say the least.

It is a beautiful family movie, yes story and action scenes could've been better. But the reviews don't do Justice.

The movie does good with cast, drama, dressing, photography.

Kartik really did good, his style of acting will always entertain a big section of people. Kriti as always looked stunning on the screen.

Songs are disappointing and it is a pattern across all new Bollywood movies. Also the action like why it needs to be so fake and defy physics and commonsense.

It is much better than the crap we normally see from Bollywood these days.

If you want to enjoy a movie with family, then this will not disappoint.

Gave 2 starts because 1 for Kriti's beautiful screen presence and another star for Kartik. I feel this movie was not required and the fake emotions were pretty blatant. The screenplay and direction was very bad. The underutilisation of so many talented actors was sad to see. The emotional scenes were not emotional at all and the comic scenes were just bad. Rajpal Yadav did create some good humour but he was only there for 1 scene. Overall the whole movie was jumping from scene to scene, many plot loopholes. In some places the story just doesn't connect and feels random. It's sad to see Kartik being associated with it. Hope he does choose a better movie next time.

After long time I was able to comfortably watch a movie and just enjoy it. It is a simple and yet funny story and I'm not aware it is a remake so I enjoyed it as a first timer. The songs were okay especially the last one . The location of the movie was precise from the slums to the palace, the detail of each class was to the point. The actors were superb. I'm giving it a 10 because the rating is unfairly low. I would definitely watch the movie again. Kartik as always is to the point and perfect. Ankur best scene was of the when he had the head phones and was dancing. Wish Kriti and Manisha had more time on screen.

This one is a good Entertainer and I watched it on Netflix. Kartik Aryan, Kriti Sanon & Paresh Raval are good. The Story might seem unbelievable but I am surprised why the ratings are so low. The first half was good & kept me engrossed.

The Jindal House shown looks like a large Palace, probably as big as the Taj Mahal. Ot sure where in Delhi would such a House be available. I felt that more should have been done to develop the characters of Ronit Roy & Manisha Koirala to make the second half equally engrossing.

However Kartik Aryan & Kriti Sanon look great as a pair. Thsi guy Kartik is definitely in the making of the next Super Star.

If you're looking for a film that is a complete waste of time, look no further than "Shehzada." This movie is an insult to the intelligence of anyone who watches it. The plot is so ridiculous that it's hard to take anything seriously. The characters are caricatures that are either too goofy or too fragile, and the acting is subpar.

Kartik Aaryan tries to be an action hero, but he lacks the charisma and presence required for such a role. Kriti Sanon is nothing more than eye candy, and the rest of the cast is forgettable. The music is forgettable, and the action choreography is laughable.

Director Rohit Dhawan takes a story that could have been interesting and ruins it with his eccentric interpretations and lack of realism. The sets look like they were taken from a cartoon, and there are no driveways or walkways for a luxurious bungalow. The film is an insult to the original, which had chartbuster music and a sense of realism.

In conclusion, "Shehzada" is a movie that you should avoid at all costs. It's a poorly made film with bad acting, music, and direction. Save your money and watch something else.

People are FAKE 10/10 rating here and and everybody knows that this movie doesn't deserve even 4/10. I don't know how can support this kind of movie and put fake reviews and rating, I also some ultra positive comments of this movie in youtube review videos of some popular youtubers. Face-palm.

Only people are who can handle immense pressure mentally and can keep their calmness that too with high bp or u r just a low IQ person or novice kid can watch this movie else u might start punching urself that how can I do this to myself.

Stay safe stay away from such crappyy entertainment, original south movie was already a below average movie and this is even lower than that.

The overacting has been played by Karthik Aryan. The many good comedians like Rajpal yadav and Prashes Rawal has been wasted by Rohit Dhawan

Direction is also nood good

Wasted opportunity to adapt family intertenment movie The original movie was pretty mediocre to begin with. However, the director Rohit Dhawan has make a far worse version of it. The screen play is shaky and the story is so illogical that it's hard to buy into it. These kinda movies were famous when they were made in the 1980's and 90's when stars like Govinda were at their peak.

But the execution of those movies was still much far superior. Shehzada is bad at even being nonsensical and fun. The acting performances are really mediocre. So many good actors wasted. Kartik Aaryan is over the top and he is just very forgettable. Plus he isn't a star like Allu Arjun to carry such a terrible movie on him self.

Please avoid this movie like plague. It will make you doubt why you love cinema in the first place.

I don't think Kartik Aryan has much bigger startdom as compare to his contemporaries, yet this infinitesimal amount of people coming here and polluting the good cinema friendly environment like they did it during his previous venture.

Although I didn't watched it in theatre, i felt robbed, i felt for my that 2gb of data which went to download this trash. I gotta agree that allu arjun has that charm to attract audience to whatever trash he's into. But that aryan guy, what were makers thinking!?

Shehzada, it's a Bollywood action masala , comedy , drama and romantic movie . It's talks about a boy his name is bantu who does not know that he is from a rich family . BTW this is not a spoiler you will find all this at the trailer and the beginning of the movie .

First of all , let me tell you the things that I loved in this movie . One , The music album , I thing this was the best thing in movie and I really loved the songs like munda sona hoon and character dheela 2.0 , it was amazing as the soundtrack was amazing too , that it makes you so excited to see the movie and continue watching it . Also I loved the action in movie in some scenes you will find , kartik is doing good at action and some not . Well meybe because its the first movie action movie he doing it . Also I liked the logic of the movie there was not over acting , silly things and cringy . And about kriti sanon well she was the basic of romance as any heroine and it was good for her but something I didn't liked about her you will find it on the things that I didn't like .

In my review , there were many bad things in this movie that made me thing why it is 7 out 10 in my review. First of all , the plot , it was not that bad but it was also not strong to be in , like you will find out everything at the beginning and than ?! There was like messing around with a plot and make it poor . Also what I didn't like the comedy of this movie , yes the action was better but the comedy was not which is bad for a Bollywood movie like we used to see more comedy with low action quality with no logic right ? In this movie its the opposite the comedy was cringy in many places and didn't mean anything at all and the worst about it that there were A lot of good comedy actors but they didn't do well I think the problem because of the script and many twits in one scene like a drama scene become a comedy scene in one time how ? I don't know . And the other thing that I didn't like about the movie is kriti , yes she was like any actress heroine to complete the romantic and movies needs for the audience but as a big fan of kriti after her strong amazing Movies like mimi and luka chuppi why she took a risk and made a movie that didn't need her at all . Like she wouldn't affect on the plot but as I said they choose those actresses to make the movie complete as its a Movies role but is jot good for this amazing girl who did amazing movies that proves her existence like luka chuppi with kartik also was a case about her and him not just him and she is a secondary role like this movie so this made me mad ..

So in my opinion this movie was good and I can see it again but not for the whole life or as a legendary movie I thing it deserves a semi hit .

Found the movie really entertaining. Perfect mix of comedy and drama and it made me laugh. Awesome story line, great start that captivates interest, this movie has aced certain aspects. A worthwhile watch, great for family. I don't get why there are such bad reviews, because I found the movie something I would be happy to watch over and over again. If you have not watched the original, definitely give this movie a try; it is well directed, well balanced and undoubtedly hilarious.

No Script and no acting, it's literally a bad movie. Don't waste your money. Nothing is good in this movie. Total over reacting, bad songs, bollywood has dropped to an amazing new level.

I used to hate myself until I saw this movie. Sitting idle for 3 hrs is better than watching this movie. Paresh Rawal's talent goes to waste and Kartik Aryans lack of acting get's highlighted. There's no comedy aspect, honestly Dawid Dhavan should just stop directing these horrible movies. I started to introspect my life while watching this movie. Guys please don't waste your time. I really enjoyed Allu Arjun's original verson. This movie is no where close to the original version. Everything looks fake and dull.

The swag of Allu Arjun is the biggest difference in both these films and the background score didn't suit in many scenes. Also, the villain is not shown as powerful guy in this movie whereas in the original Telungu version, villain's character had some weightage.

Right from the start, this movie moves on weak performance and dialogues. And some of the scenes don't even make sense especially on why should the heroine fall for the hero without adequate justification.

I don't know when film maker will bring something good . I don't like this movie and now karthik shoul learn acting. Every time ur smile will not work . What was the story plot . Nothing. Bhai Ant man chale jao rather than this .. No music , no acting , no story . The actor whose acting was good is not mentioned anywhere. Paresh rawal , ronit Roy and Sandeep bhaiya they were good . But apart from this no logic , no sense , no comedy also. Kriti is used as dummy . Pls make good movies with this budget . You can hire good writers , dont go for publicity , do some acting work picture chalegi . Don't watch.
