To sum up: amazing scenes with the core characters & Nyxly, but inserting William into the fold this late in the game felt very out of place and forced.
There was so many amazing scenes between the core characters, and it was nice to see some dynamics strengthen like Lena and Nia's. They did well to include some light hearted and comedy moments whilst still grounding it in serious battles. Every single Dansen scene had me yelling, no spoilers but I LOVED THEM.
Peta did an amazing job at Nyxly this episode, her character gets some hilarious scenes and though I don't care much for her as a villain I am loving the actress.
Katie and Melissa once again knocked their scenes as Lena and Kara out of the park, I am loving their journey this season and seeing their dynamic as the two key people able to fight the big bad.
The bad... I missed Jesse as Brainy this episode, it seems each week one actor has to be missing likely for covid restrictions and it does feel like an empty space.
And William. I understand what they were trying to do with him and this storyline, but it just feels so forced. When we have so little time left to wrap up the core characters storylines I'd rather the time and focus be spent on them, instead of building up other characters. I didn't enjoy him telling several women how to do their jobs/roles over the course of the episode, but at least they are finally writing him consistently.
