At Last Finally Getting Better What Took So Long?......
Honesticedragon6929 October 2021
As the title suggests there episodes are finally improving, I'm not sure if COVID had any affect? But I'm just glade that they are making Better Episodes with just 2 more episodes left after this one, which appears to be airing on the same day. But back to this episode, what I like about it is that Supergirl doesn't feel like a side character in her own show in this episode. And then there's the fact that the Martian Manhunter was the one that passed the Courage Totem Test it some how feels perfect that he be the one to do it. At the same time I also like the fact that Supergirl had to do deal with her Fears about the Phantom Zone. And of course there's that great too short a scene in my opinion of Dreamer Mediating in her Dream in that beautiful surrounding, I kind of wished we some how get could have either stayed a little longer or revisited again. It nice that they were trying to humanize Lex. And that Pep Talk that Kara and Lena had with each other was also Great. I also loved they didn't pull the typical trip of Alex Constantly wanting to Propose to Kelly but the events of the episode kept on getting in the way. They could have easily gone that way but they didn't. I also like the debate that the Heros had about this Controversial Strategy that they have to defeat their toughest enemies.

But as Great as an episode this was there where still a few flaws. One of them being that it was so Predictable right away as soon as that Bar Tender said to Alex "Sorry Alex The Whole Bar's Been Booked" that Kelly was the one who Booked it and sure enough it was. I even said it out load to myself "I Bet Kelly Was The One Who Booked It" and I was right. And Speaking of how is it that a Kid a Kid is allowed in the Bar even if that Kid is an Alien she's still a kid and even if the Bar was Empty? Why the Bar Tender Didn't kick her out it's not like he didn't noticed her he did? And Speaking of Predictabilities after losing the Totem and along with what they teased at the end I could bet what happened to the powers of the Totem. I kind of wished they at hinted at how Lex ended up in the future for those of us don't have access to the CW Supergirl Comic if a such exists? Because the last I heard was that Lex was going to Jail. Way back in like episode two or three of this season.

Lex: "I love you!" LOL
richard_stiles12 December 2021
Lex Luthor in love is a loser :)

It's an okay episode, Jon Cryer's interpretation of the Lex Luthor character throughout the series has been surprisingly amazing, a highlight of the series, actually. But this is odd. They sold it by making it a part of his megalomania, and I do buy it that way, and that's saying a lot, because these jokers (the show-makers) most often fail to convince me of their character motivations. So I accept it. That still doesn't make it less weird. Lovey-dovey Lexie-poo is just too ridiculous to not laugh.

Dansen were the best part of this

Episode love how Alex and Kelly's love for each other an others was the heart of the episode thru the totem too. Beautiful romantic moments between them. But, as always Lex has to ruin the ep for me. He was fine before Crisis but after it he seems like a clown to me. I see you writers throwing those little mentions of the legion on an episode about love hehe. Man can't believe there's only 3 episodes left :(.

Good Good

To William was given less time in this episode, so it was better than the previous ones. I loved Lex's return, he's even crazier, Kara and Lena's scenes were beautiful, Alex's scenes too, it makes sense that Lex kidnaps the child, after all it's Lex Luthor.

I Was Pleasantly Surprised

Just from the title alone I assumed that this episode would be horrible, since they provided emphasis on Lex's "love" to Nyxly which I found cringe. However, the fact that I'm rating this episode so high (which I never do) goes to show how good it actually was. The CGI fight scenes were pretty cool for this show especially, and I loved the character arcs.

Starting off with Esme, shes cute kid and I like her role with Alex/Kelly's relationship... especially since now she's the embodiment of the Love Totem!!

I absolutely loved J'onns role here, it was emotional and spectacular witnessing him pass his gauntlet and try to save his daughters. His dialogues with Kara and Alex were great, and it's always nice seeing him use his Martian form.

Lena getting a hold of her magic after removing the negative field of Lex was satisfying and amazing. I really liked her character this season.

Nia and Brainy didn't get too much screen time, but it's cool to see them learning about the "truth" about the legion in the next episode.

Some negatives in this episode were probably just Andrea and William. Andrea is just a stock character at this point, she hasn't had too much of a role until her 5 sec Arcata debut again, which was only to steal a photo... and William is just "there" as usual, with no real purpose.

Lex is back... but now he's a simp for Nyxly lmao. I wouldn't say they "ruined" his character, but now he doesn't seem as threatening. Nyxly was kinda getting repetitive so I see why they brought Lex.

Overall this episode was pretty good, one of the best of the series I'd say, deserving a 9/10 atleast.

Love, Love, and More Love
MovieFreak86-415-91253127 October 2021
If you can't tell by the title of the episode, the focus of this episode is love.

Not only was Supergirl and the team looking for the love totem in the episode, but Alex and Kelly took the next step in their relationship. We even saw the start of a new and unexpected relationship.

I don't know why, maybe because of all the love in the episode, but I thought this was one of the best episodes since the show came back from break in August. With three episodes left, I can't wait to see what happens next.

Holy crap, this is terrible.

I'm watching this for one reason: I stuck with it hoping it would improve, and though it hasn't I am a finisher. But boy, this show deserves a quick death.

Nothing about this show is redeemable. Nothing. Not even Jon Cryer returning could hope to improve it. How these writers and actors have jobs while I'm stuck in a call centre is beyond me. No wonder why I wish I were dead.

Supergirl

I started watching this show so many years ago, I was even inspired to become a journalist and also a writer. I think that inclusion and everything related to diversity was quite good but I feel that it deserves one more season since it is necessary in my point of view that Kara has her happy ending because it is not fair that all the characters have their partner or partner and she does not, I hope that if they give their good ending or that they leave it open for a possible continuation, and I must highlight the good acting that Melissa has and Katie have always been two big fish in a small pond, thanks for reading.

A really good one.

It was a very good episode, with a lot of sweet moments and a cute ending. There was action, romance, all.

I gave it a 9 instead of a 10 for two reasons: 1) Andrea 2) the moments of Kara being stupid. I am really tired of angsty Kara.
