Silent Notes was a fascinating watch. It brings much needed attention to overlooked parts of our lived communities and the film industry alike. I walked away from the film feeling the need to become even more of an advocate for people that are living with impairments, realizing that I'm guilty of not being as intentional as I should be in efforts to connect with a more diverse group of people in my life. I'm grateful that the film forces me to look inward and challenges me to build a larger table!

Silent Notes is a wonderful film that portrays deafness in a sensitive and at the same time charming way. The story brings to life what it is l like to be deaf. Of course I have seen deaf people communicating by sign language but this film seemed to bring me into their world so I could experience lack of hearing in an emotional and more connected way. I felt I had witnessed a new world as well as being told a beautiful story.
Strikes a beautiful chord.

This movie is more than just a film about the deaf and the hearing. It is about longing to be a part of something, which we can all universally relate to.
You can tell the director has a deep love for her performers, the material and the story.
