Last month, non-profit group Good Energy launched what it called a Bechdel Test for Climate Change, a simple set of criteria designed to determine if it was clear climate change was present in a film. The real Allison Bechdel even endorsed it.
As part of the “Climate Reality Check,” just three movies nominated for Oscars this year passed the test’s two simple rules: “Climate change exists” and “a character knows it.” Now a more extensive study published by Good Energy and Colby College’s Buck Lab for Climate and Environment has analyzed 250 of the top grossing movies between 2013 and 2022 under the same criteria.
Global warming has been with us for a while now, but only 12.8 percent — 32 of the 250 films studied in that time span — even passed the first criteria saying that climate change exists. Only 24 films, or 9.6 percent, passed both criteria of the test.

Conor McGregor vs. Dwayne Johnson: Who Cashed the Bigger Check?
Did Conor McGregor really set a world record with his Road House payday? That’s what the onetime UFC superstar has been bragging about in recent weeks, claiming he’s now “the highest paid first-time actor of all time.” If true — and McGregor, 35, hasn’t disclosed how much he got for his debut role in Amazon’s reboot of the 1989 kickboxing flick — he would beat Dwayne Johnson’s record of $5.5 million for 2002’s Scorpion King. While some have scoffed at his claim, sources indicate he was indeed paid in that ballpark, and given the Irishman’s stature in the martial arts world and the offers he has turned down (he accepted a role opposite Vin Diesel in 2017’s xXx: Return of Xander Cage, only to back out before filming began) it wouldn’t be surprising if some sort of record was broken.

Welcome to this week’s review of Tna Wrestling, the latest episode under the return of the Tna branding! Let’s get into the review and see what went down…
Match #1: Chris Sabin def. John Skyler The following is courtesy of tnawrestling.com:
Chris Sabin looks to humble John Skyler in tonight’s opening contest! As Sabin is making his entrance, we learn that this match has been sponsored and presented by Sabin’s X-Division Title challenger at No Surrender, Mustafa Ali. Hotch distracts Sabin at ringside, allowing Skyler to send him crashing into the steel ring steps. Sabin creates separation with a German suplex, then builds momentum with a Ddt. Sabin hits a running kick for two. Hotch trips up Sabin from the outside but the follow-up spear from Skyler is not enough to keep him down. Sabin hits the Cradle Shock to win.
My Score: 2.5 out of 5 Match #2: Tasha Steelz def.

One of the most memorable and heartfelt ways to tell someone you're falling in love with them is through a cute love song. Even if you're not into writing your own tune, sharing a Spotify playlist full of songs about soulmates, songs about love at first sight, and songs about saying, "I love you," is a sweet and low-pressure way to get your feelings across. And thankfully, there is a wealth of songs about falling in love out there - across all genres - to show someone just how much you care for them.
The best love song, however, is the tune that resonates the most with you and your partner. So whether you prefer a slow, romantic ballad, a sexy song, or a song that's more upbeat, your love interest is certain to be falling just as hard for you after giving it a listen.

It’s been nearly 50 years since Frank Zappa’s celebrated album, Over-Nite Sensation, first debuted. Now, the record is receiving box set treatment: the “super deluxe” Over-Nite Sensation: 50th Anniversary Edition will drop on November 3rd via Zappa Records and UMe.
Released in September 1973, the original Over-Nite Sensation was produced by Zappa and features a group of virtuosic musicians, including Tina Turner and a then-newly-reformed iteration of Zappa’s backing band called The Mothers, which had grown to include a number of jazz greats like Jean-Luc Ponty and George Duke. It came to be one of Zappa’s most commercially-successful releases, bringing his avant-garde sound to a wider audience.
Over-Nite Sensation: 50th Anniversary Edition was produced and compiled by Zappa’s son, Ahmet Zappa, as well as “Zappa Vaultmeister” Joe Travers. The autofictional series centering around comedy-rapper Lil Dicky (a.k.a. Dave Burd) is finally returning for a third season and it promises to take on a totally new perspective.
The first season of "Dave" followed Burd's rise up the lower rungs of hip-hop popularity as he scored his first record deal. The following season explored Lil Dicky's writer's block and his inability to appreciate his success. The rapper's ungrateful attitude began to poison his close friendships and his dating life, but it ended on a high note.
Season 3 finds Lil Dicky at the top of his game and will continue to explore his unquenchable quest for success. This time, though, Dave will seek outward — rather than inward — for answers.
It's only natural that the previous seasons have focused most heavily on the show's namesake, even shifting into total subjectivity at times and climbing inside Dave's head. Still, the...

When "Party Down" was cancelled in 2010, fans of the acclaimed catering company comedy clamored for a comeback. Thirteen years later, Starz finally complied and have started the party once again by bringing back the series created by John Enbom, Rob Thomas, Dan Etheridge, and Paul Rudd. However, the sitcom, which stars Adam Scott, Ken Marino, Ryan Hansen, Martin Starr, Jane Lynch, and Megan Mullally (but unfortunately not Lizzy Caplan due to scheduling conflicts), is only returning for a six-episode third season. But it sounds like this won't be the last hurrah for our beloved caterers.
With the past two seasons clocking in at ten episodes each, many are wondering why the comeback is cut a little short. But on the flip side, maybe it means that there's actually more story to be told. During a recent roundtable discussion with Hansen and Starr, /Film's Ryan Scott asked whether the show would...

When you become a fan of a TV show, it's fair to say that you want those involved to have successful careers. In fact, you probably don't want them to just succeed. You want your favorite stars to thrive, especially if that series that you love will not be continuing.
When "Arrested Development" ended in 2006 after three seasons, the cast went on to star in fan-favorite films and series such as "Juno," "Despicable Me," "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World," "Archer," "Veep," and more. Following the end of "Community," the study group likewise branched out into a variety of productions. (Jim Rash even won an Oscar.) And the same thing happened to the stars of "Party Down" following its cancellation.
As the creators of all three of these shows would later find out, owing to the level of fame achieved by those involved, it's hard to bring their in-demand casts completely back together again.

After weeks of speculation, Microsoft has finally unveiled Windows 11, the new operating system upgrade coming this holiday. Boasting many tweaks to the Ui, as well as few other new features, Windows 11 should bring some welcome changes to the Windows PC experience.
At the forefront of the upgrade is the new Start Menu, which is now sitting at the center of the taskbar. The new Start Menu forgoes the tiles that have been a signature of the Windows experience for the past few generations of the Os. Windows 11 will instead feature a Start Menu that works like a more traditional launcher where you can quickly access your go-to apps, recent files, and the revamped Windows Store, which is now compatible with Android apps.

ReviewThis is a movie that goes from not-much-happening to a-lot-happening phases alternately. Krishna SripadaWorking stillsThanks to the proliferation of Ott content, a lot of audiences are now well-versed with movies and TV series from around the world. A learned audience is mixed news for moviemakers. They’ll be able to appreciate smart elements in a movie but will just as easily identify plot pieces used in world cinema, and see right through unnecessary tropes. Check benefits and suffers from the above. A big chunk of the movie feels like an inner dialogue in Chandra Sekhar Yeleti’s head: ‘Yes, this feels like a fabulous addition to the script; but wait, the audience will question how this is possible; let me add a couple of dialogues to make up for what should have been a couple of scenes of character-building.’ The Nithiin-starrer action thriller packs an eclectic mix of jailbreak,...
