Entertaining, clever porn fantasy

Warning: Spoilers
This successful collaboration between filmmakers Simon Wolf and Bud Lee (famous for their "Witch's/Devil's/Wolf's Tail" trilogy) is a light and fluffy porn feature, matching craftsmanship to whimsy. It's one of many winners buried in Bud Lee's lengthy filmography.

Title is intentionally a switcheroo: one is naturally expecting a femme fatale out of the Barbet Schroeder "Single White Female" playbook, but after several red herrings what arrives is instead the Devil himself, in the form of Herschel Savage. Lovely Aurora Snow, surely one of the great Adult stars from the turn of this century is the sympathetic heroine, who after kicking out her unfaithful boyfriend is comically saddled with a succession of inappropriate femme roommates until Lucifer rolls up to her door in his limo.

This slight Adult comedy is cast with incredible beauties, in the tradition of Wolf and Lee productions - they don't scrimp. Wolf himself pops up in the final reels as Aurora's Guardian Angel, and overall the fantasy content is superior to the current TV series on the subject.

Savage has to be singled out for the gusto and panache he brings to such an assignment, as well as the requisite sexual chops at an advancing age. Given his longevity I'm more and more impressed with the consistent quality of Herschel's performances, especially compared to his increasingly hammy peers (e.g., Ron Jeremy, Joey Silvera, etc.).
