I have watched most of Eli Stone season 1 and 2. It is a good series with excellent acting. It has a lot of Scripture reference and godly talk throughout the series. Things don't line up though. Eli gets most of his advice from an acupuncturist James Saito who plays Dr Chen (I love this guy)who is Eli's friend who keeps telling Eli he is doing god's work by understanding these visions. I would say most of that is true but what god. Acupuncture, hypnosis, sex outside of marriage are not things that Christians should be doing.
Eli is an excellent lawyer but he defends a transsexual who looks gay to begin with who is suing a church because they did not know he really was a woman. Eli also defends someone's medical pot use of marijuana and then there are some liberal lawsuits.
The stories are very tender and they can sway you but I do think they are deceptive because of all the spiritual talk. They show a transsexual teaching a Bible study. He preaches Scripture and forgiveness but he doe not think he did anything wrong by changing his sex or at least his appearance because he is a female. This is trying to sway people that believe what the Bible says to take teachings out of context and use it for a short script to make people believe that everything is okay. Even the black attorney that is against this man preaching is swayed.
The music behind the scenes puts you in a sympathetic mood to what is going on.
There is a lot of compassion in this series but sorry to say it is for wrong causes. I will continue to finish watching the rest of series 2 I will accept what is good and true and flush the rest down the toilet
