Not the best in the series, but still watchable.

An ai pair returns home to find her employer injured and unconscious, and their young daughter, Charlie, missing. Professor T is on hand, but injured.

The only episode so far that I haven't thoroughly enjoyed, I thought the plot was a little pedestrian, and the delivery a little ordinary. The first trio of episodes were fun, entertaining and quirky, this one didn't have any real wow factor.

I'm sure it will return to form in the next episode, the twist that came here at the end was somehow obvious from the off.

The major plus here was the music, which once again was fantastic.

Another great episode with less humour and dream sequences this time and less looking at the lives of the police team but more concentration on the crime in hand as a little girl goes missing.

With a well written and emotionally-acted finale.

A crime of passion played out by two people in their first TV roles.

The high standard remains.

I look forward to part 5.

Decent enough

I'm not the biggest fan of Ben Miller. Watched him in Death in Paradise and he was too grumpy and he never did grow on me (unlike Kris Marshall who played his role to perfection). But this is not a bad show. Some stories are rather intricate and heart felt like this one. I have to give Mrs Snares a kudos. She is great!!!

Worst episode of a bad bunch.

I have already reviewed the series as a whole. But this episode rang out as a clanger.

The acting by the au pair and her mother is shockingly bad. Unbelievable and at times just plain awful. Hardly surprising that they are two unknowns. Let's hope it stays that way.

Television deserves better than this.

If you want to watch a good series, try the original. You won't regret it.

The episode is called Mother Love and that in itself is a spoiler.

Professor T is called in when a girl is kidnapped, her father assaulted.

The au pair stumbles into the scene of the crime.

The police suspect that the parents might have staged it. Other suspects are the au pair herself and the business partner of the father.

There is a twist that the girl was adopted. The au pair was worried that the father might have hit the daughter as she had behavioral problems.

Although the narrative has Professor T working it out. I reckon good old fashioned police work would have got to the bottom of this.

Someone should had realised that the woman looking after the abducted child was most unsuitable.

At least there is some nice classical music to listen to.
