Magnum P.I. does Die Hard 1 & 2

I had a Deja Vu when I watched this episode. Very reminiscent of the first 2 Die Hard movies. Did enjoy it tho.

Loved the episode, but the ongoing subplot...

... which lasted all of a few episodes, was dumb.

The US government loves to preach about good, moral behavior and common decency. The problem is the US government is delusional and has a moral superiority complex. It is the last entity who should be lecturing people on "correct behavior". Marriage licensing has racist roots; given it was first intended to deter interracial unions.

There are PLENTY of horrible citizens out there who, if were foreign and applied for a "green card", would be denied on the spot.

Government should not be in the "business" of marriage to begin with. The green card idea was particularly insulting given that people wanting to become citizens are often better people than those born as citizens.

I love how when government lies to us, it's "politics". When we lie to them? Well, that's wrong and cannot be tolerated. Hello felony.

A Magnum remake with a race change? Why I anyone watching this?

Its like a cheap knock off. Can't they come up with anything interesting? I don't even want to see if Magnum and TC or Higgins have an intimate relationship. The old show worked because of what a compelling character Magnum was. This guy isn't even handsome enough to be Magnum. I honestly can't imagine that the majority of women would think he was worth pursuing. Also, men aren't really allowed to be cocky and confident like that in tv shows. The whole concept is foolish. Just three guys tat share the characters names. So why not just give it a different name, and stop disappointing people.
