This is the episode included as an extra on the DVD "Cavegirl Rocks" and for some reason, it is a 22 min job, not just a measly little 11 min morsel. That said, the whole sports thing is such a shambles, you don't know what to make of it. Buncha school- leavers having fun, that's what it looks like, and, yes, charming, NOT great, NEVER great, BUT cute.

Cavegirl wants to join the team to get in a clinch with a player, a new boy she has her eyes on. There is a damn cute scene in which she is told to get the pig gut (that is, the ball) away from Roast, who stands there all manly holding the ball. She starts weeping about the little piglet that had to lose his little gut for them to have a toy to play their silly game with. Piglet must be starving, what with having no tummy. They explain to her that the pig is dead, which upsets her no end, and she takes the ball out of Roast's hands as if to comfort Little Piggy - and voila! Cavegirl has the ball, and Netal decides she should be on the team, for she has brains.

Like I said, charming. If you're gonna be finicky, stay away, this is strictly amateur THOUGH THE FILMING IS DECENT, IT IS THE CROPPED EDITING AND THE WEAKENED Story lines THAT IS WAY BELOW PAR.

In closing, Mr. Daniel Peacock is an opportunist who clearly goes by the credo of "directed by circumstances" BUT the vital ingredient that IS THERE is HEART, and in many episodes of American kiddie show sitcoms (SABRINA THE TEENAGE WITCH) that isn't always there.

Though Cavegirl is brash and has very little manners towards Mom and Dad, total impudence (but then, the other lot ARE i-d-i-o-t-s de luxe), I like her, and I'd have gone for the whole series. Sadly, with this episode, it will be goodbye, no chance something as haphazard will be released in its full awkward glory.

Ah, the Western Cape. Noticed in the episodes, a scattering of local talent. Talent? Hah! Ha-ha-ha! There is no such thing. Absolutely none but guys like these hulking in-between other extras, "we're gonna be on film AND GET PAID FOR DOING NOTHING" :) but true!!
