Dusty takes the Tigers to a 3rd Premiership in 4 years. Many injuries and stops in the 1st term, notably Ablett re-injuring his shoulder, but playing out the game and Vlastuin out for the entirety. The Cats had a 2 goal lead at the half, but the Tigers ended up winning by 5 goals. Dusty kicking 4, all of which were class with limited time and space. In the slippery conditions, neither team used the ball efficiently, well accept Martin at the goals. Geelong handily winning the hit-outs, but Richmond the clearances, which is never good for opposition. The Tigers with 9 more inside 50's and 4 more shots on goal. Short excellent for the Tigers, with 7 inside 50's, 6 score involvements, 6 tackles, 8 intercepts and a whopping 771 metres gained. Duncan Geelong's best, getting plenty of it and slotting a nice goal from the boundary. Ablett in his last game, touted by many as the best player of the modern era. Though there are many ahead in my opinion and Dusty's one of them, with plenty more footy to play. Also, not on the level of Ablett senior, aptly named God.
