Greg is entertaining, great with language, and, best of all, possessed of common sense.

I am one of the many who fled Fox News following its execrable Election Night coverage. I had no idea I'd find such a satisfying substitute in Greg's show on upstart network Newsmax.

I vaguely remember Greg from local news in New York City, which did not provide him the platform to show off his formidable talents.

Perhaps the best thing about Greg is his winning personality. Unusual for an anchorman, there's a certain shyness about him. You get the sense he sees his guests as more than sources -- he's curious about them as people.

For example, this evening, while interviewing Candace Owens, Greg asked if she has any hobbies. Ms. Owens reveals that she loves fishing. Who'd have guessed?

Greg is probably Newsmax's top talent. Rob Schmidt, who has a 10 PM show, is perhaps a close second. Both guys are really worth giving a try.
