Finally, This Is Us!
mauricioalexisveliz28 October 2021
I have read some comments repeating that it's exhausting to see that Kate hasn't been able to overcome any of her traumas, well, welcome to real life! Not everyone manages to overcome their traumas, no matter how old you are or how many sessions with your therapist you have under your arm, sometimes the traumas just remain there. That's what I like about this show, that they don't try to sell the stories as something dramatic that always ends with a beautiful and pleasant solution. This episode was emotional, real, human in every way, with all its characters addressing their different problems with life! The call between Randall and Kevin was hard but emotional too, although much more was seeing Randall wanting to know about his mother.

So far it has been the episode that I have most enjoyed (and cried as well) this season.

A long road home

Finally, satisfying Episodes after the two disappointing ones in season 5. I personally love this show. And undoubtedly, it's the most perfect show ever created with an exceptionally outstanding storytelling. Hope the vibe never fades out.

What a great return of TIU in 2021

Wow! This Is Us writers are just great! This episode had some very interesting parts. I really laughed when Madison said to Kevin... that she knows that he comes from a great family of speakgivers!!!! Lol! Also Kevin and Randall patching things up was touching. And finally, Kate finally getting off her chest what she had kept all these years. Can't wait for Randall's new journey as his storyline was getting stalled, now we get some new exciting story.

Writing for Madison
mowens93012 January 2021
The writing for Madison is so predictable and frustrating. It's the typical story of a woman who tells a man don't worry about me and the babies you go work in the career you've been working so hard in, I'll just be over here and won't ask you for a thing. Then gets upset he needs to leave for said job and doesn't stay with her. Sigh. It's old. What did she expect? For him to forget about his career and stay home? I guess that can rightfully be what she wants and expects but it makes no sense because that's not who he is and this shouldn't surprise her. Why didn't they talk about this when she got pregnant and they decided to raise the babies together? Another story to make Kevin look like the bad guy (he STILL needs to apologize and make amends about the comments to Randall, he doesn't get a pass for those but I digress) Kevin is not all bad and they seem to be making him out that way.

Enough of pitying Kate?
wissia16 January 2021
Honestly it'd be interesting to see the show addressing Kate's issues properly. She never got over anything in her life, not a single bad thing that happened to her, she managed to put behind. She dwells in self-pity and we are constantly asked to sympathise with her, while simultaneously judging Kevin who has, between ups and downs, actually managed to do something with his life. Maybe enough of this?

Madison is making me crazy. Be happy for something for 5 goddamn minutes. This storyline is so cringe. Kate storyline is also kind of boring wierd. Otherwise this season has been ok.

this is randall
astonmatters29 May 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Ok, we get it, the series adores randall. It has focused more and more on him and his own family over the years - and that's fine, especially since sterling k brown is a sublime actor, whom I could watch all day. But - cutting the moving phone call with kevin off just to get back to randalks's story line? Come on. If you don't care about the other pearsons anymore, or randalls involvement with them, just give randall a spin off.

This used to be must see TV

Season 5 is a snooze. I try to watch but I lose interest quickly. No twists like the earlier episodes and too much tine spent on Randall. Where are mom and dad Pearson?

This season is unwatchable
patystriker29 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
This is SO hard to watch. I used to love this serie until 3.. 4 season and now I'm trying but I can not. I have to pick up my phone while trying to get by it. Kate traveling to see a s***t boyfriend that needed a minute to remembers her. And for what? Just to say she is better without him and he is the one who is lost??? Wtf?? This is so childsh. "What you remember of us?" What are you doing girl? Embarrassing. Madson used to be funny. She used to have her own vibe and now? Just boring. You could have given her a role where she brings something, I don't know, some joyousness like Kate's husband who we learned to love. But, no, let's make every little thing that makes this serie great and make it boring and lame and unwatchable. Don't let me even start with all the disgusting politics/pandemic situation we are passing right now. What was the point? Because looks like you wanted to show something big that was so so so poorly done that just makes me wonder why, really. It was better make it fictional than this bul***t and using it to change all Randall perspective of his past when it was never showed before? Urgh

Something was lacking here
tenealesharman10 January 2021
I have loved season 5 so far, but this episode fell flat for me. I didn't feel Kate's story line at all, I respect her confronting her past, but to me Randal's story deserved more screen time. And I think we all know how Kevin's romance with Maddison ends. I want to see more jack and Rebecca, the big 3 stories aren't enough. I love this show so much hoping the next 2 episodes bring it home
