Sex & Nudity

  • In the last episode there are 2 people sitting on top of a bed making out for about 4 seconds then get interrupted by a phone call.
  • A few scenes with kissing though it never turns into anything more.

Violence & Gore

  • A boy gets bitten by loads of piranha in a swimming pool, filling it with blood. (It's not graphic, it's meant for dark comedic purposes).
  • A man is seen with his neck severely broken from a car accident. There is some bloody leaking from his neck and splashed on his shirt.
  • A man is attacked off screen, his body parts are seen strung up later on, and his headless body is seen, as well as his decapitated head (out of focus). His guts are covered up by bushes
  • Somebody gets their hand caught in a mouse trap and is seen screaming afterwards.
  • A girl gets in a fight with three men in a cafe.
  • Reference to Russian roulette
  • Dismembered parts of bodies are seen stored in jars (not too realistic)
  • A man is stabbed by a sword fatally and then falls backwards off a structure, hitting the ground with a thud.
  • Several birds are hit by a moving vehicle and are shown laying in the road twitching.
  • Images of bloody limbs (Ted Bundys Pinterest) are shown being plastered on a wall for a few seconds.
  • Images of brief intestines and cut off limbs are shown for a couple minutes.
  • People get stabbed in the chest
  • A woman's face and neck are slashed gruesomely by a monster, this scene is brief, although there's a few pretty deep wounds shown.
  • A girl gets shot in the shoulder with an arrow. She then proceeds to pull it out.
  • Intense Violence is the biggest issue in the series, with a slavering monster, dead bodies, supernatural powers and battles, injuries, sudden deaths, and frequent mortal danger.
  • The pilot episode is probably the goriest and most violent in the first season, as it includes a few bloody scenes, and a fair amount of death and murder.
  • A group are burned alive, but it's offscreen (see Frightening & Intense scenes)

Profanity

  • Infrequent language few s-words, and b-words and other minor language.
  • A woman says "What the fudge" in replacement of the F word.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • A few references to cocktails, shown to be "mocktails" when mixed by the students. Some adult characters drink wine infrequently.
  • A few brief mentions of "stoners" and being "stoned", played for humor, but these are later revealed to be references to Gorgons, which can turn people to stone.
  • People order cocktails at a cafe.
  • Reference and use of a drug that kills people.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • The series can be dark and frightening for younger viewers.
  • There is a scary looking creature that can be disturbing to sensitive viewers.
  • There is a scene where someone projectile vomits and it is pretty detailed. There is a messy aftermath.
  • Some people are burned alive, but it is all off screen.
  • A girl has dark visions that may be disturbing to some viewers.
  • A man draws very disturbing and bloody images of a monster which lurks in the forest.
  • Multiple intense jumpscares are seen through the series episodes.
  • Some people have no face and it could be frightening
  • The Hyde can really terrify some.

  • Séances and other supernatural communication take place

Violence & Gore

  • A man is suddenly attacked by a monster and pinned to the floor. His stomach is than slashed opened causing blood to spray on his face, and a large wound to appear on his stomach, he is killed. Very bloody.
  • Wednesday gets stabbed in the stomach in the final episode.
  • Wednesday gets knocked out and wakes and she has a scar that is dripping down her face (not in pain) in the last episode.
  • At the end of episode 7, a flashback starts showing dr kinbott being killed by The Hyde in probably the goriest scene in the series. We see pools of blood, slashes across her body and blood dripping from The Hyde's mouth.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

  • The principal gets drugged in the final episode and dies.

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • Thing strangles a man.
  • There are very dark scenes with a monster that could be scary for some people. Blood is seen in scenes when Tyler gets attacked, Wednesday gets stabbed, Enid attacks the monster, the monster attacks people, Crackstone also gets stabbed. There are a few jump scares as well
