Close to the end of the men's WarGames match, Pete Dunne did his Bitter End finishing move, but after attempting a pinfall, Roderick Strong stomped on Dunne's shoulder to stop it, and then did his End of Heartache move on Dunne. This was exactly the same chain of events done at NXT Takeover: New Orleans when Strong turned on Dunne during the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic final, helping Kyle O'Reilly and Adam Cole win and joining up with the Undisputed Era.
