Ralph manages, through quick thinking, to get a suspected murderer captured by the police. The guy swears that he will go after the guy who fingered him if he ever gets out. Ralph is the big hero and reporters come to the apartment and take his picture. Ralph is strutting around until he finds out that this guy has gotten loose. This is the second episode where the Kramdens are asked by the police to set up a kind of decoy system in the apartment building. Everything is formulaic and the conclusion not very much fun.
