The bishop of a ward (congregation) in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints does not personalize his little office in a meeting house with so much decoration or furniture, nor would he have that much space to do so. A sketch of an Anglican Church or abbey would not be placed beside a photo of the Salt Lake Temple, nor did any photos with that kind of lighting on the temple spires exist in the 1980s.
No Latter-day Saint would address or speak of a bishop using his first name in any situation. Therefore, "Bishop Alec" is unnatural. It might be "Bishop Smith," "Bishop Young," "Bishop Kimball," "Bishop Benson," etc., but not "Bishop John," "Bishop David," "Bishop Tyler," etc.
