- Our story begins with the introduction of two female Londoners on the first leg of their 21-day journey around the world in the bicentenary year of the abolition of the slave trade act. The world of middle aged West Indians now intrudes upon the year out backpacking community and the conflict within our documentary thereby begins.—Anonymous
- The story begins with a journey - a journey akin to the voyage in 'Jason and the Argonauts'. It is the voyage of two Londoners and their experiences travelling the world.
Their first destination is Hong Kong. The audience are introduced to this location through the voiceover of an omnipresent narrator. The Londoners are Christians from a Pentecostal church, and whilst ascending the cable car they give praise to God.
Their next brief stop is Melbourne. This location is introduced and skimmed over by the narrator as it holds no emotional or spiritual connection for the Londoners.
The third location is Sydney. Once again it is introduced by the omnipresent narrator like an episode of 'The Fugitive', only this we get to meet some of the characters that they come across in their hostel. This is the only scene in the film that is dramatised turning it into a docu-drama. The Londoners are sharing a room with a backpacker by the name of Becky Benson. She is a character that represents the loneliness of travel and the isolation that a single person experiences travelling by themselves.
