Jenny and Cassie are finding that beyond the direct intimidation, helping Blake may be difficult as even if they are able to find anybody who knows anything, including Rosie and her father, no one seems willing to talk in fear of either the Kleinsassers and/or Sheriff Wagy for whatever secrets they hold over the town. The one person who seems willing to talk if she can do so without being caught is Angela, Sheriff Wagy's receptionist, Jenny who can see her fear. Getting information becomes even more important with a discovery on the Kleinsasser property which changes the face of Jenny's investigation, that incident which Cheyenne believes gives her the upper hand over John Wayne and thus by association Rand despite what their father wants for the ranch after he's gone. Jenny is left to handle this Kleinsasser situation on her own as Cassie is called back by Mark, who has a credible lead on Ronald's whereabouts. Meanwhile, Ronald suspects Scarlet's sister Mary is closing in on discovering his true identity. As such, he believes he has to take decisive measure to quell any suspicion by Mary infecting Scarlet's thoughts about him.
