The issue with watching a kids show is that sometimes you get an episode that only kids will enjoy. Even though this featured two separate stories with parents in them, with both out of the house, one on vacation and the other at a poker night, it just felt like it was poorly thrown together.
The idea of a party is obviously on the minds of many kids, but it felt out of place and out of touch with this group. I do like Elena standing up and protecting her brother and not making him do something uncomfortable to put herself in a better position. Always good to see that kind of message on television.
