Contacting the Dead

E! Mysteries & Scandals: Harry Houdini (1998)

Ken Silverman (biographer), Dorothy Young (assistant), Penn & Teller, Nancy Leschke (Houdini Society), Lance Burton (magician), Mathew Carpenter (curator Houdini Historical Center) and Sidney Radner (Houdini historian) are interviewed about the life of Harry Houdini, the most famous magician to ever live.

There's really not too much mystery or scandal to the life of Houdini but fans of the magician and series should still find plenty of entertainment to be had here. The interviews with the historians and experts certainly give you a terrific idea of what made Houdini so popular and why his name is still remembered today. The episode focuses in on Houdini's cause of death as well as his attempts to make contact with the dead.
