A Bizarre Story. To Say The Least!
ccthemovieman-125 November 2009
Warning: Spoilers
Wow, here's another bizarre story. Dominick Dunne was very good as selecting these unusual stories. Then, as he says here in this episode, "Big money can breed some strange people." In this case, the strange person was "Robert Durst." The story begins with a boy finding three garbage bags floating near shore in the Galvaston Bay. Soon, it is discovered, thanks to the contents in the bags which not only dead body parts but identifications and other info which would lead easily to a suspect.

Morris Black, 71, a described "cranky, old man," was found in pieces in those garbage bags in 2001, along with receipts, mailing addresses, etc. That winds up identifying Black and leads to a neighbor......and then the case really starts to get strange. A trail of blood from Black's house leads police to the room of a mysterious woman named "Dorothy Ciner." The flat-chested and cheap-wigged Ciner turned out to be a man: Robert Durst. The strangeness has only begun.

Durst, police find out, is a long-long son of a New York City billionaire, who had died in the 1980s.

The further the cops looked back in Durst's history, the more they found more suspicious behavior. This program details it, and it involves the man's wife Kristie.and then later, another woman. I don't want to go into too many details to spoil the show for anyone who hasn't seen it. Suffice to say, you won't believe all the bizarre twists and turns in this murder mystery....and you'll really be shocked how long this man evaded police and what happened at the trial in the ending. It will leave you shaking your head.
