Although I have not been overwhelmingly impressed by the "Hall of Shame" episodes so far, Lip's really stuck out to me. I think that is mostly due to Jeremy Allen White's incredible acting abilities. It didn't feel nearly as forced as the previous two Hall of Shame episodes. The story flowed pretty naturally and I actually really enjoyed rewatching Lip's journey throughout the past 10 years. It was also sweet to see Lip and Tami's relationship evolve. I haven't really been sold on their relationship and I sometimes feel like if they hadn't had Fred, they probably wouldn't still be together. But honestly this episode really made me start to like their relationship- it's actually pretty sweet.
In comparison to the series as a whole, I would not have given the episode a 9/10. These hall of shame episodes kind of start to feel like an overly long YouTube compilation. But solely in reference to the Hall of Shame episodes, this is definitely the best so far. Again, Jeremy Allen White is so talented and despite not having much content to work with, he really compelled the story forward. Overall, nothing groundbreaking, but definitely worth a watch.
