Gloriously silly

Warning: Spoilers
This show has been going off the rails for a while, but this episode is by far the stupidest, in the most fun way, to date. The writers clearly don't care any more, they know it's all nonsense and are leaning into it. Anyone claiming it is "filler" wasn't paying attention; we've got a murder swamp, we're reliving the Vietnam war, there's a truck from Hell on the loose, the chainsaw serial killer is back, a whole new economy has been invented, going to school now means being part of a child labour circuit, everything might have all been aliens all along, and yet even with all that going on we still have time for a twerk-off. All in a single 45-minute episode. Each episode this season has crammed in more gibberish than the previous one and I can't wait to see what they're going to shovel in next week. For the last few decades, the second half of Twin Peaks' second season has been held up as the gold standard for a show going off the rails; Riverdale season 5 has it soundly beaten. This is can't-miss TV. Everybody involved with its creation should be applauded for their dedication to nonsense.

Everything's good except the mothmans

It's as good as it was before, very similar compared to the former seasons. Archie's plot is a little bit boring and he being "the hero" over and over again is becoming a little frustrating but I can handle it. I love Betty's, Veronica's, Cheryl's and Toni's plots. And I would like to see more Barchie in a level way more serious. But then those mothmans... Please don't turn this into a fantasy serie like in season 3 with the Gargoyle king... Don't take it the wrong way I like supernatural series but not when it comes to Riverdale. I hope they'll find a natural explanation to this plot twist.

Boring

After how exciting & good the last few episodes had been we're back to the stale and old. Really felt like a filler episode. And let's not forget the silliness of Jughead's alone scene at Pop's with the lights. The only good things this ep where: Tabitha, Veronica's pink dollars and Choni. The rest? Zzzzz

Boring and Inconsistent

Warning: Spoilers
It doesn't make sense to have an episode where Archie and Betty aren't interacting after Archie's house has nearly burned down and also while Betty is dealing with the disappearance of her sister. Betty and Archie are old childhood best friends and are intimately involved. Betty also dropped everything to come to Riverdale and help Archie. It isn't in Archie's nature to ignore a friend in need and it makes no sense for Betty, an FBI agent, to not be concerned about her two childhood friends possibly burning down in the house she lives next door to. That's ridiculous and very bad writing. How was the fire even put out? Who started the fire? No explanation. Veronica and Archie shouldn't have had so many scenes together this episode while Betty and Archie have none, considering the status of their relationships. Overall a very dull episode, not worth watching.
