- Lalabelle accidentally falls on earth from her magical land with her cat Bila and an evil magician called Biscus. Lalabelle is adopted by the Tachibanas and Biscus befriends Tsumoro Ochiba. They both have a lot to learn about humans.
- Lalabelle, a little girl from an enchanted world surprises Biscus, an evil magician, stealing two magical suitcases. He tries to escape to earth, dragging Lalabelle accidentally with him. On earth, Biscus and his cat meet Tsumoro Ochiba, while Lalabelle and her cat Bila fall in the garden of the Tachibanas, an elderly couple. They let her spend the night, make her a dress and offer her to stay, since their grand daughter Teko recently moved back with her parents. However Lalabelle reveals she is from a "magical word" and decides to prove it with a few magic tricks. She then declines the offer, claiming she cannot adjust to a life without magic, and walks out with Bila and the suitcase she managed to keep from Biscus. Once she is out on the street, she soon learns that using magic brings her much more attention that she wants. The Tachibanas decide to adopt Lalabelle and Grandpa Tachibana goes out to look for her. Biscus sets fire to the boat where Lalabelle is taking a nap just so that a crowd should gather around it and his associate Tsumoro would sell more noodles to the onlookers. Grandpa Tachibana dives in the river to rescue Lalabelle but it is her magic which eventually saves her. They all go home where Lalabelle agrees to stay and not use magic anymore. Alerted by the rumor that her grandpa Teko and her friend Toko run to the Tachibana's to see them and meet Lalabelle. In the evening, Lalabelle , alone with Bila in her bedroom, writes in her diary about Grandpa's saying : "The more, the better".—Greg Philip <greg_philip@hotmail.com>
