Learn more- It was time on Tuesday to eliminate one more couple on "Dancing with the Stars," but the night started with the couple least likely to go: Melissa Rycroft & Tony Dovolani, who performed an encore of the samba that earned them a perfect 30.
Be our guest: Contemporary crooner Jamie Cullum stopped by to perform Frank Sinatra's standard, "I Get a Kick Out of You."
Dance Center! Kenny Mayne and Jerry Rice were back for another edition of "Dance Center."
First round highlights:
"Lil' Kim's height: Lil'. Weight: Lil'. Shoe size: Lil'."
"Back in college they used to call me Lil' Jerry," Jerry Rice said. "Which part of your anatomy were they referring to?" Len asked.
Shawn Johnson's size: "Liller than Lil' Kim."
To the results: Before getting to the first results of the night, a quick check of the leader board based on the judges' scores on Monday (combining ballroom dance and Latin dance for the total):
Melissa & Tony: 27 + 30 = 57
Gilles & Cheryl: 29 + 27 = 56
Shawn & Mark: 27 + 29 = 56
Lil' Kim & Derek: 25 + 27 = 52
Ty & Chelsie: 25 + 21 = 46
In no particular order, the first couple who secured a spot in next week's semifinals was Gilles Marini & Cheryl Burke.
Back to 'Dance Center': Second-round highlights:
Video footage of Tony Dovolani laughing while Melissa hurt her ribs.
"What have the French ever done for us, anyway?" Kenny Mayne said, talking about Gilles. "He is prostituting himself with his good looks." (Cut to Kenny, Jerry and Len, shirtless).
Pro Dancer Competition: Each of the three remaining pro dancer hopefuls were assigned a former "star" to teach, to see how they'd handle the real assignment of the show.
First up was Afton DelGrosso, who was assigned Cody Linley. They danced a samba. Len said Afton did a very good job teaching Cody, who is a little bit wooden and stiff. Bruno said Afton made Cody sell himself. Carrie Ann said Afton's skills really came to life and that she'd bring a "nice, beautiful energy" if she made the show.
Back to the results: In no particular order, the next couple to move into the semifinals was Melissa & Tony.
Pro Dancer Competition, Part 2: Mayo Alanen was paired with Lisa Rinna, and they danced a quickstep. Bruno thanked Mayo for taking advantage of Lisa's assets. Carrie Ann said it got a little out of control at times. Len said it was about pushing boundaries and Mayo did a good job.
Anna Demidova was paired with Maurice Greene, who picked the tango, which he'd never done before. He wanted to see how she taught him something he'd never done. Carrie Ann said "with a performance like that, you two could be heading to the semifinals." Len said without a doubt, Anna pulled the most out of her celebrity. Bruno said she was more than a dancer, she was "a miracle worker." He said Maurice never looked better.
Back to the results: The next couple safe for another week was Shawn Johnson & Mark Ballas. That left Lil' Kim & Derek Hough and Ty Murray & Chelsie Hightower in the bottom two.
Len said Ty could possibly go on, but Lil' Kim has been one of the best dancers and we'd miss the bionic booty.
Tom finally announced that the couple leaving the show was ... Lil' Kim & Derek.
