Failure oozing out of every pore!

Another strong episode with great writing and acting but does this story need 3 instalments? The humour, the hurt and anger are a there again. An emotive episode as ever.

Such a gritty middle episode.

Sean and Tina's behaviour gets more and more extreme, DC Giggs is the latest target for the pair.

I hadn't realised that this was three episodes, such was my enjoyment it just flew by.

Gritty and pretty nasty once again, this story has been unapologetic from the very off, it's a tense watch, cleverly done, you see elements of Fitz's personal life intruding into his professional life.

Great scene at Gambler's Anonymous where he insights a riot. That ending scene, I never forgot it, surely one of the nastiest things ever put together on a show like this.

Loved seeing the wonderful Beryl Reid, playing Fitz's mum, surely this was one of her final acting roles, what a legend.

I'm really warming to the character of D. S. Penhaligon, I'd forgotten the undertones that existed between her and Fitz.

The final part is going to be intense.

8/10.

Dr. Edward Fitzgerald has extremely reluctantly agreed to attend a session of Gambler's Anonymous, but he can't be asked to take it even remotely seriously, because he has no intention of changing this habit of his lifetime.

The bloke running the Gambler's Anonymous sessions Graham is also a friend of Judith Fitzgerald, but just how good is something that Fitz is struggling to come to terms with.

Sean Kerrigan and Tina are becoming closer to one another so much so that they are becoming mutually dependent on one another, but which one of them is the most manipulative and who the most reliant?

They hadn't done that much together in the ways of shenanigans, but how far might they be prepared to go especially to prove themselves?

To Say I Love You: Part 2

Warning: Spoilers
Bonnie and Clyde are about to strike again. Tina is going to be a honeypot to lure in Detective Constable Giggs and murder him.

They even make a video where they talk about killing a cop.

The aftermath of Giggs death means catching the killers becomes personal for the police.

Beck became irate when the Pathologist described Giggs in the more impersonal term victim.

Bilborough got angry when he found out from Fitz that Sean was under arrest. Fitz had told Beck that Sean needed further psychiatric evaluation and Beck had not acted on it.

Penhaligon is upset that she has lost her cop partner, she is also knocked back at a chance for promotion. Too early according to Bilborough.

The grim parts of the story were balanced with Fitz's personal turmoil.

A role playing game that goes out of hand. It seems Fitz was not being fired, he just demonstrates what could go wrong if the person who you fire had nothing to live for.

Later on, Fitz attended a Gamblers Anonymous meeting. He disrupted the meeting as everyone relished the thrill of gambling.

Much to Graham's annoyance. Fitz just knows that Grahan is after his wife. Penhaligon tells Fitz that he pushed his wife into Graham's arms.

Another good episode but Tina's plan to be a honeypot did not work the second time.
