Sara's life seems void of love and passion. Forced by her husband's intention to relocate the family to the East coast, she throws her apathetic routine overboard and stands up for herself. Her refusal to leave with him, however, does not bring her relief and the new sense of freedom she is longing for, but instead intensifies her loneliness and depression. Following a chance encounter with the art of fishing, she finally emerges from the shadows of her life and discovers her own voice, her personal identity and her artistic expression.
