The animals in the zoo help a lonely zoo keeper find love
kitterkatter23 April 2010
Warning: Spoilers
I was fortunate to participate in an advanced screening of this film. While the film was not yet in it's final version, the raw material was hysterical. Kevin James was brilliant, pulling off both the roll of the straight man and the slapstick comedian.

The story centers around James, a lonely Zoo Keeper who turns to his animal buddies for relationship advice. The plot is formulaic; a traditional love triangle, but the humor and pace of the story certainly makes the film worth watching.

My only criticism of the film is with the matching of animal to actor. With the exception of the Ape (Benny), the voices of the actors do not fit the animals they play. The elephant and the giraffe are too high pitched and the voices feel forced. The dialog and action between James and the animals is hysterical and if they can find the right actor/animal voice blend the movie will be unbelievably funny!

Even with the raw footage I enjoyed this film tremendously and will definitely go see the finished product. This film is perfect for both families or couples looking for a light and funny date night film.
