FYI Konjac noodles are NOT banned in Australia...
drnikic21 July 2021
Glucomannan fibre (usually in tablet form) is what's banned, because it swells greatly in the stomach. The noodles are sold in pouches of liquid and thus have already swelled as much as they are going to.

Oops, actual review: yeah it was good.

S4.E8 - Meeting The Parents [8.5/10]

Warning: Spoilers
(S4. E8) My Live Reaction / Review for The Good Doctor Season 4 Episode 8 ''Parenting''. The previous episode was good and I gave it a rating of 9/10. Let's see if this one is better or worse. Shaun is about to meet Lea's parents? That should be fun and very awkward. This girl was taking drugs to have bigger breasts? That's a dumb decision but she is very young so I get it. It seems like Lea's parents like Shaun. No they don't like him, that sucks but who cares what they think. I like that Lea is not as annoying as she was in previous episodes but still I don't like her being with Shaun. Overall this episode was good and I enjoyed it. My rating is 8.5/10.

I really love Shaun and Lea. In this episode both show us how deep is their love and relationship.

No longer about the "Good doctor"
gusmcc6 May 2021
This has taken a dreadful turn for the worst. It's no longer about the good doctor and the way his brain solves the cases, it's about his colleagues relationships. Boring, predictable and they should really change the title too.

Hallmark Channel?
Lovesbassets2-131-57811029 January 2021
I feel like I am tuning into the Hallmark Channel. In the last two episodes there have been several Hallmark stock actors that are guest starring on the TV show.

Warning: Spoilers
David Shore never bothered with realism or even believability. Remember Doctor House's "police problem"? What was real about that? Nothing. Just about as much is real in this episode. A 14-year-old girl "fires" her father as her gymnastics coach because she took a drug to enhance her breasts and he objected. IMMEDIATELY she says she will call the "team lawyer" and "emancipate". And just as immediately the lawyer in question start putting pressure on the hospital.

A few problems with that. One, sports lawyers make 7 figures easy. NO gymnastics team has the money to keep a lawyer on retainer. Hospitals on the other hand are a multi-million-dollar enterprises who can easily afford one "team lawyer". Or rather, a team of lawyers.

Second, every teenage girl who does gymnastics (ballet, athletics, etc) is SCARED of her breasts growing and getting "curves". The reason is simple - have you seen many top-heavy gymnasts with "curves" lately?

Third, to emancipate you must prove you have steady income from a legal source. What possible legal income can a 14-year-old gymnast have? Pawning plastic medals from her peewee meets?

And a plastic cherry on that wooden pie - the "chief of surgery" finds a solution by demanding the 14-year-old in question makes a tough decision about her father's surgery. For which you must be at least 18.

Lupus again, Mr. Shore?
