  Obi-Wan Kenobi : I wish I could say I was, but no, I'm not.

  Obi-Wan Kenobi : That's not how it works.

  Leia Organa : How does it work? The Force. What does it feel like?

  Obi-Wan Kenobi : Have you ever been afraid of the dark? How does it feel when you turn on the light?

  Leia Organa : I feel safe.

  Obi-Wan Kenobi : Yes, it feels like that.

  Leia Organa : I didn't do it on purpose. I didn't mean to run away. I used to do it all the time. I just... it was just for fun.

  Leia Organa : I miss home.

  Obi-Wan Kenobi : You'll be home very soon.

• Tala : [leading Obi-Wan and Leia to a safe house]  Droid maintenance. It's all automated. No one ever comes in here.

  [Leia stops short seeing a giant droid] 

  Tala : Oh, it's all right. He's on our side. Designation's NED-B.

  Leia Organa : Hi, NED-B. This is L0-LA59. Lola, say hello.

  [Lola chirps] 

  Tala : Uh, he's just a loader. They don't allow them to communicate.

  Leia Organa : But what if he has something to say?

  Tala : Actions speak louder than words.

• Leia Organa : Is it scary? Having to pretend?

  Tala : Yeah, sometimes. But it's worth it if I can help people.

  [strapping on a blaster holster] 

  Tala : I wear it on the other side. Gives me a faster draw.

  Leia Organa : Can you teach me how to shoot?

  Obi-Wan Kenobi : Leia, come and get ready.

  Tala : She'll make a good fighter one day.

  Obi-Wan Kenobi : Yes, I think you might be right.

  Inquisitor Reva : Don't be afraid. Come closer.

  Leia Organa : Are you the one I'm supposed to meet?

  Inquisitor Reva : Unfortunately, they couldn't make it, but I'll take you from here.

• Obi-Wan Kenobi : What is this place?

  Tala : We have safehouses like this throughout the galaxy. Trying to link the systems. Some call it the Path. You're not the first Jedi to come through here. It all leads to Jabiim, and from there, we give them new identities and get them out. There's a lot of good people risking their lives out there.

  Leia Organa : Are they all Jedi?

  Tala : Not all. These days, the Empire hunts anyone who's Force-sensitive. Even children.

  Leia Organa : What happens to them?

  Tala : We're not sure. But no one ever sees them again.

  Obi-Wan Kenobi : [seeing a block of words engraved on the wall]  Quinlan was here.

  Tala : Yeah, he helps now and again. Smuggling younglings.

  Leia Organa : [Obi-Wan touches the engraving]  What does it say?

  Obi-Wan Kenobi : "Only when the eyes are closed can you truly see."

  Leia Organa : See what?

  Obi-Wan Kenobi : The Way.
