Riveting show that's well written. The young Andrew in the show distracts because all he does is walk around glum. Can't tell if it's bad directing or bad acting, but it's bad.

Not the start I thought it would be to the beginning of the end

Warning: Spoilers
Well after watching the first two episodes of the season I'm a little underwhelmed. Yea I got to see the second one too. I buy the whole season on prime video every year and the first two are available to watch not sure if that's a mistake or not on their part but the second episode wasn't much different from the first. I honestly thought it would be balls to the wall nonstop since this is the end and almost two hour have gone by and nothing much of anything has happened yet. More than half the episodes are flash backs. That being said I don't mind them as much as the past couple seasons. The older version of the Cody's and baz are way more tolerable but still take up to much time. I have loved this show since day one but I really hope what the first two episodes have to offer isn't going to be a running theme for the last season or im gonna be real upset. Also im not sure why the writers hate Craig so much the last few seasons they have made him a whiny little pansy and his story lines are always the worst.
This show is so underrated.

Watching this made me wish to only live in ocean side and no where else , the character development , scenario, the actors , even the names, everything is brilliant , literally everything , ih yeah and the heists ,the planning the execution , criminals can literally use this as a"how to tutorial ".
Love everyone that had a part in the making of This masterpiece.
I'm in tears for this is the last season , my family and i made this show a tradition ,we would watch every episode together , since day 1.

Stop with the flashbacks already!

Stop already with the flashbacks to young Smurf and her boys! Who cares about this? We love the characters as they are in present day. This is a lazy writer's shortcut and all it does is take away from the show. Blah on this crap.

How is it Leila George's kids are ten years older and Craig's kid is still an infant??? Did I hear wrong when the people are all calling Leila George 'Smurf' now?? I've never missed a minute of this show and loved it from day one. I sure how like hell they don't confuse the season with a bunch back clips.
I like the flashbacks

Clearly I'm in a minority but I like the flashbacks. The current timeline has lost steam. They're all whiney and lost. J has zero personality. Pope may be the only one that still makes me want to care.
But I also always love beginnings. So knowing the back story, how they became who saw in S1, the "family before everything" bond... and just knowing Baz, as a character, is back and exploring that threesome, that's cool.
And yes Ellen Burstyn was amazing as Smurf, but again, clearly I'm in the minority, but I think Leila George rocks it as tiger mom.
So the 7 rating is actually for the underwhelming feeling the current timeline gives me.

I felt this was necessary in the previous season to explain how Janine started out and feels like they are doing it again to show us how Julia ended up where she's at now. Won't give the place away. I'm curious if they plan to show us who Js dad is before they wrap. If they do it will be rushed. I'm going to miss this series and appreciated the first few seasons over the last 2. J went from saddened to plain cold. His issue is he feels he's the smartest so he should be boss and tries his damndest to pursue that only to be put in his place by his uncles.
Enough of the Smurf flashbacks already!

I don't care about young Smurf and the way she raised the boys, stop beating this horse to death! Do the writers not have enough content to work with to keep things in present day? I don't get it. I'll keep watching until the finale only because there's no sense in bailing when it's almost over and I've stuck with it this long, but this show ran its course at least a season ago.
Done.
