It's coming together!

The tone of this episode was lots of fun. The different stories are starting to intertwine and you can sense a mystery waiting to be happen. Not sure what direction we're headed, but I'm enjoying the ride.

Great show and great episode

I'm really loving this show and it's amazing how normal all the guests are with their problems. Sure some of them are nice some are acting like asses and some are acting quirky, but it's realistic feelings and actions. Ormond the manager on the other hand is spiralling out of control. And it's actually really funny... at least so far.

The accumulation of black desires
cjonesas20 August 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Hilarious and catastrophic at the same time. A very good episode with genuine acting, over-the-top situations and a Shane who would soon kill both Tanya and Armond, if Armond doesn't get to him first.

The atmosphere is cheesy fun and the vacation that they dearly expected to be unchained, is turning to a tempest with black clouds gathering.

We Replayed One Scene Three Times
Gadare31 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
The scene where Mark, too numb to speak, has to listen to the matter-of--speculation between Olivia and Paula about his dad's secret sex life was a screamer. We laughed to tears. Coming up a close second in the laugh department is the sequence involving Tonya's shipboard dumping of her mother's ashes.

Amazingly enough, funny as it was, this episode showed us more of the humanity of the characters and how they are trying, despite all tech obstacles, to reach out to one another.

Can't wait for Episode Four!

Easily the best episode yet and probably will remain my favorite episode of the series

To anyone especially the ones that had negative thoughts on the White Lotus give this show a chance still I'm begging you! Ok so I already have been in a good mood today which probably helped so I laughed my ass off multiple times during Mysterious Monkeys, the laughter felt so wonderful! I was captivated throughout I can't believe how much I'm enjoying the series more than I thought was cause it started off pretty weak but damn it's improved a lot. Fred Hechinger (Quin) is the funniest character/actor among a few other people mostly him though. Jennifer Coolidge did a wonderful job as well.

Seriously, what is wrong with rich white people?
caballero-1926 January 2023
This was a better improvement episode compared to the last one, this episode is more abyect, mysterious and intense, but it left me still wondering if all this exploration of character will really work.

I am delighted how the show shows how greedy and moanful rich white people are, they can't stand on its own, frankly it's disgusting but really fun to watch, surprisingly the younger ones are the most down to earth, even if you don't like their attitude, sometimes, they are more aware of their behavior than their fathers or lovers.

I liked the last scene, it was a spiritual moment of clarity.

Dragging
solojere26 July 2021
Warning: Spoilers
While this episode was decent, it felt a lot like a filler episode, which makes the show drag. We are currently halfway through the show, and I'm still not sure what direction the show is heading or how to label it. There are funny moments, but I would call this a comedy. This episode was a lot more of the same, with very little actually moving the story forward. The exceptions are Armond and Oliva. It was interesting to see Amond relapse. Personally, I find Oliva the most interesting character. She is both sympathetic, and yet she has some real issues with her family. Also, I think the Oliva and Paula storyline is fascinating, and I'm excited to see where it goes. Shane is still the worst, and Alexandra Daddario makes for great eye candy. I just hope that in the next episode, something significant happens.

Funniest so far
Pritchie457 February 2022
This is the funniest episode so far but the most explicit with nudity and similar themes. Only half this show is worth watching and the other half is rubbish. I wouldn't recommend the series. It is bloated with stories I don't want to watch and just as you beginning to enjoy a particular part it just fades into the background.

Mid-way
safenoe19 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Okay, we're at the midway mark of season one of The White Lotus, and it's today that I decided to start watching season one. Episode one was grand, episode two was so-and-so, and well episode three was moving things along. Really, if you're into fast and furious, human centipedes, hostels and saws, then The White Lotus really ain't for you.

I guess we're things moving along here, and Murray Bartlett's hotel manager is the recipient of an awkward conversation that really gets him all shackled and it's quite uncomfortable. We don't see much of the local Hawaiian staff, and that's a point of contention.

Unlikeable characters doing profoundly unlikeable things
leesimon-2635724 October 2022
I guess sexual harassment in the workplace is funny when the soundtrack says so?

Also, was the ashes scene supposed to be funny?? The Tanya character seems to rely solely on Coolidge being a known comedic figure. Her character is not written comedically. She is written like a depressed, overmedicated, sad woman, for whom there is no love shown (by the writers.)

It is more and more as though this character has no love or sympathy for any of its characters. And it seems like more and more, the consequences for terrible behavior are minor, existential slight embarrassments.

The dialogue was also particularly imbecilic.

I wasn't planning on writing a review for each episode, but this one was particularly unfunny.

Not good
pm-980022 August 2021
The plot is, wow, so bad. It's just awkward. I guess the point is to have only dislikeable characters doing incredulous things.

Keeps getting worse!

Not funny! Not well written! Not well acted! Several members of the cast are actors I respect, but this vehicle just plain SUCKS!
